Tuesday, May 19, 2009 10:20:49 AM I would quite like it, IF I still can have the sidebar if I want to. And if the activity bar (the one which is at the bottom of the screen in default, I dunno what it's called) is slimmed; it looks fat. |

Tuesday, May 19, 2009 8:39:10 AM Goodie more crap to slow down your computer. If I get it i'll end up stripping it back to be like Windows 98, just like I did with XP. Never got vista. I'm not installing a new OS just to get slightly better graphics with DX 10 because I sure as hell wont be useing the gadgets. |

Monday, May 18, 2009 5:07:56 PM I at hope it's at least faster than vista, and uses less ram and hd space. That would be a win. |

Monday, May 18, 2009 6:30:38 AM @belunanYou sound like you might have a serious hardware issue when you say shuts down do you mean completely turns off without warning? |

Monday, May 18, 2009 1:28:21 AM You can still use the sidebar. The bottom taskbar can be slimed down, so it does not look so fat.... |

Sunday, May 17, 2009 10:50:19 PM Well imo, macs really do suck. Sure they're easy to use but windows really are superior. all i like about apple is the ipod touch and that's it. windows is awesome, but i think ill stick with vista. |

Sunday, May 17, 2009 10:17:33 PM When I saw the headline "10 things to look forward to in Windows 7", I honestly expected to find a blank white page. How about these for things to look forward to: - My optical drive will not disappear, regardless of whatever 3rd party crapware I may choose to uninstall. - My video card and monitor drivers will not suddenly become lost, making my screen look like it was set up for old people with bad eyes. - My comp will no longer randomly shut down. - When all the aforementioned things happen anyway and drive me to finally do a complete system restore, the restore might actually drating work. drat Windows. |

Sunday, May 17, 2009 8:36:28 PM Unintrasting: You say you use Windowblinds all the time? You have no problems with it? I really, really wanted to use that program but it crashed my brand new, superfast, ultra whistled and belled computer. Not bragging about my computer, just baffled as to why 'Blinds' keeps doing this. Lucky you.I've never used a Mac - had one of the very first Apple's ever sold (wish I had that baby now!) but that was when everything was DOS - you had to program everything yourself, so I don't know about Mac's but I sure hear alot of good things...they really don't get viruses????? 'Cuz this is a MAJOR issue with us - we have 5 computers at home (2 laptops) and I am always fighting the virus wars on one of them - maybe I need to be a Mac instead??? Oh and yes...we use antispyware/virus control programs on all. |

Sunday, May 17, 2009 8:06:54 PM OK, OK. DO NOT make uninformed comments about Windows, Linux or Mac. The first Mac GUI OS, was developed by Microsoft and Sun Microsystems. Since then Mac has just used code from both companies to improve each layer of the OS. e.g. the kernel, the I/O manager all the way up to the GUI. And vista was developed in 2002 when XP was just about finished and ready for the market. Then Mac came out with similar features they put in their next OS (I can't remember the names). All this meaning they copied off of Microsoft who actually made these features themselves |

Most computers upwards of that mark have dedicated GPUs. Except for Macs, of course. You have to spend $1500 for THAT luxury. As for RAM, you just need at least 2 |
