"There is no animal big enough or loud enough to make that kind of noise, not by a long shot. Not a blue whale, not a howler monkey, not a startled teenage girl"

I loved that :)

Ok I agree that it's either a massive whale fart or the Chthulu.
In all seriousness. There are lots of thing about the depths of the oceans that we do not know about. There are probably creatures there that we are better off not knowing about for our own sake. Who knows? Maybe it can eat a whale?

Tell her to put the jug on then Davy...

Winks at Davy and reminds him of the little stir of him Lion had in the Modblog a few days ago

Here's me heading off to work (as a f*cking scientist), and I find my scientific point with the map and all bumped down to page sixty-f*cking-three by you muppets with red names talking about beer and Croc Dundee and all manner of assorted sh*t.

F*ck.

I put my scientific view point foward (pffft) hours ago! I'm sticking with the obese whale fart theory.

I think your just annoyed you missed out on a beer debate!

i was laughing my ass off when i read cracked answer to what they thought the bahgdad batteries were used for:

"Take them to Egypt. Somewhere inside the Sphinx, they'll find several holes. Plug these batteries in there and the Sphinx's eyes will light up. Then it will start scooting around the desert floor making a mechanical barking sound."

I can totally picture this actually happening...lol

LOL@all the world who thinks Aussies drink Fosters; the only people who drink Fosters are non-Aussies who think they're drinking what Aussies drink

And Davy, good try but phail - no Aussie calls his shiela 'darling', it gives them ideas above their station

Seriously, I'm going with non-organic for The Bloop, I'd put money on subharmonics generated by massive gas pocket release on ocean floor, or large chunk of ice falling in.

Lion mate, I'll weigh in with you and double up on the same bet. We stand to make several million million Aussie Dollars on this bad boy (that's about ten to fifteen quid) and we'll hit the Castlemaine 4-X!

SHIELA! BRING SOME MORE SHRIMPS FOR THA BAHBIE! WE'RE RAISIN THE ROOF TONIGHT, DAHLIN! WE'RE GONNA PA'TY LIKE IT'S 1982!

I was reading about those rocks in Costa Rica the other day.
They are believed to be ancient turtle egg sculptures, that the artisans were paying an homage to the reproductive output of sea turtles.

Am I the only one who thought the first picture was, perhaps, some sort of illustration of the fallopian tubes and such?

As for the "Bloop," for all we know, it could have been some undiscovered water creature. I'm sure there's tonnes of species we have yet to even know about.
