Cause he is looks like Steve Zissou is that hat and wetsuit. Plus it was just sillty to see him in a hat as were all dripping wet in wetsuits, that hat really wasn't doing much at that point. |

I'm a little surprised at how many people have never heard of wakesurfing O_o....And yes you have to start out with a rope otherwise the boat would just leave you behind, you start laying on the board and you crawl to your feet then when you catch the wake in the right spot you'll start surfing and will be able to toss the rope into the boat. |

I've never surfed - we water ski alot but that looks fun! Is he on a wake board? I doubt a regular surf board would work well, right? Is it hard? (uh humm, is it hard TO DO)? Looks exhausting but amazing. |

"No rope between them, Amazing."Not really, its called surfing right? On a wave? What do you think Kayakers have been surfing on forever? Waves maybe? It's just another form of wave, and as it's continuous means he can ride it for as long as he can rather than traditional surfing where the wave runs out... There are videos on youtube of people river wave surfing which is a standing wave and of people oil tanker bow wave surfing, which is the same as the wave in the above video. Constant. It is not "amazing" lol |

Is this a speedboat, or something like a MasterCraft, or a Malibu?? I have neither, so I don't know what the wakes look like when the ballast are full. |
