ummmm Mike W look at the border patrol camera and youll see a cop repeatedly swinging his baton into the car. I doubt it was broken safety glass that caused the cut on his dome. |

It is like so many other videos. I mean, sure the cop was wrong. But why not just get it over with, prove they were wrong in court, and get your justice there instead of being a smartass? |

1- The guy was clearly being a wiseass and to stir up a hornet's nest.
2- Being a wiseass to a cop is NEVER a good idea, no matter where.
3- He wasn't cooperating, and was arguing with cops. You do not argue, you tell them your problems with their stance, and if they don't get it, you ask for a second officer, and then, once they have done their deeds, you do a formal complaint. Anyways, for everything they would've done, they couldn't possibly convict you since it was illegally retrieved.
4- The cops were total jerks. Once in a while you get them. They should be sentenced.
5- Two wrongs don't cancel each other. |

If he really wanted to make a point about privacy, he shouldn't have been so hostile. It makes him look bad and it invalidates his ability to make a difference. He should have refused the search but cooperated with the arrest, because he then could have shown that he was unlawfully arrested. The best way to change laws is to take the moral high ground, but he got dirty. He went looking for a fight and he found one.Furthermore, by resisting the way he did, he prevented the cops from doing their duties. He had a large contingent of cops that had to deal with him rather than the people they were really there to catch: drug runners and other law breakers. He wasted the time a resources of a legitimate authority, so he deserves a little jail time. If he really wanted to show the injustice of the law, he should have taken the injustice in a mature way, rather than whining and wasting everyone's time. It's obvious that he doesn't think of cops as people, and that is wrong. |

Don't they have to tell you why you're being arrested before you can being lawfully under arrest? If so he wasn't resisting arrest and they had no right to do what they did. Saying that the dog was alerted doesn't say why he's being arrested. Do they even have dogs that smell everything anyway? |
