The best advice to give to this guy is to NOT swing your whole body into the blow. I've had a rubber mallet bounce up before. It hit me in the CHEST because I'm not stupid enough to bend over with the hit so close to the mallet. XD |

-keep the hammer from flying away if someone's grip is too loose
-preventing loss of the hammer during transportation/maintenance of the game .... BEFORE you jumped to the conclusion that the makers of the game are out to get you? |

The cable or possible recoil on the mallet is irrelevent. The stupid tool hit himself on the down blow not the bounce back. |
