Sunday, June 07, 2009 6:07:09 PM i love how he walks dramatically into the CLOSET OF COMPUTERS with the 80s rock in the back ground. i mean, he still didn't give a clear explanation as to what he was going to use. |

Wednesday, May 06, 2009 5:29:44 PM wtf...he talks about how that one computer fits in his budget yet he has a million of them. what was the point of presenting the computer like that in the first place? why didnt he just take his daughter into his magical closet of computerness and say, "here, choose one they're awesome."? |

Tuesday, May 05, 2009 8:36:47 PM I know that nobody is reading anymore, but can we stop with pedophilia insinuations now? Dad is not out of place here, and his "closet of computers" is merely a device to show off Gateway's products. |

Tuesday, May 05, 2009 8:13:00 PM After reading more posts, I was about to call somebody out on their misunderstanding of technology, but then I realized that most readers are so young that they think home computing is at least 10 years older than reality. For the record, the World Wide Web was announced to be free to anybody with Internet access in 1993. "Mosaic" was introduced that year. Internet access was rare in 1993. |

Tuesday, May 05, 2009 7:42:53 PM They show a glimpse of a 486 DX2-66 system. Those absolutely rocked Windows 95! I was so proud in 1998 to get an AMD 5k86-133 clock-doubler upgrade for my computer.More power to Dad for getting his daughter a Gateway (The best of the best at the time)! Clorow--surely you remember wrong with the year 1974--did you mean 1984? |

Tuesday, May 05, 2009 3:33:44 PM Kind of reminds me of the computer from 1974 in my attic. Runs on MS-DOS, has a whopping 10 MB hard drive. No GUI, at all. |

Tuesday, May 05, 2009 10:42:58 AM geez, that was during the web 1.0 days. A computer really was a big deal then- I was a prodigy user back then with a packard bell 456 and a 14.4 k modem. I bounced from AO-Hell and finally when my small town finally started having it's own dial up I thought I had it made. Now I won't settle for anything less than high speed internet, a wireless router and dual processors. Web 2.0 has us spoiled.

Tuesday, May 05, 2009 10:18:45 AM "Take a look at this" "Daddy! what's this?" "This is for you" "For me Daddy? I can't believe it"..... That, to me, doesn't sound good at all... |
