Anyone else find this rather sad?

That's nuts, all the work that must have gone into this, all the time, all the knowledge of electronics, especially of obsolete electronics. Gawd, he/she/they must have felt good when it all came together well

I am impressed with the patience of the creator alone.

if you can appreciate this, check out the band Holy F*ck, from TO. they're doing great things with electronica but their sound isn't derived from a laptop (or any computer program). plus they've got a wicked live set

if it didn't sound like crap and have poor timing, I would be far more impressed.

As it is, I'm far more impressed by the kind of work that this must have taken.

nice work on this, whoever made it, but it was a waste of time. It's brilliant, but nobody will apreciate it, because it sounds terrible. It's the medium, not a lack of skill

Wow... further proof that the world is coming to an end... great job, a complete waste of hundred of hours probably.

I appreciate the amount of effort that was put into this and the sheer factor of amazingness that this has, but I cannot stand to listen to the song in this form because of slight timing errors that just bug the crap out of me.

Impressive work! I love the song as well! Although, those computers bring up bad memories. xD

"The melodies are so terribly out of whack rhythmically, let alone out of sync that it makes it very hard to listen to."

Clayboy, can you not just be impressed? It's like if a monkey wrote a manuscript and you comlained about the bad penmanship.

Impressive! I don't get how this is "old school", when the song was released before most of this equipment.

I have to say this was a nice attempt, but not quite on. I now need to listen to this on my ipod just to get the uncleanliness of this bastardized version out of my head.

I have to give credit though, since putting this together was obviously a lot of work.
