The thing the government is failing to tell us is that like the normal flu, we will get this and get horribly sick, and it will go away.
They're hiding all the info and causing wide spread panic to take everyone's mind off of the economic problem.
What a great president we have..
Nice to see we already have some good ol' patriotic American citizens bashing and accusing thier new president just a few months after election. :) |

god i'm sick of this swine flu scare!!
if this was a real epidimic do you think we would be getting our information through interviews and having till wait till 5 6 or 10 to get information on how to protect ourselves?
when we've had a real crisis the media has interrupted all broadcasting to issue a warning so this must not be a real crisis!
and yes everyone's said it but the people that have died from swine flu were already sick and their healthcare sucks n all that.
i wish something else would happen to the world so we could stop hearing the phrase "swine flu"

wow, they've already closed down dallas and fort worth schools. they're about to close down the school i'm going to (fort worth is next door). they make everybody get hand sanitizer coming and getting off the bus and sanitizing the buses twice a day. |

Doesn't Mexico have socialized healthcare? It's supposed to be the greatest thing ever.We should threaten to infect Al Queda with it. Swine flu = Going to hell (no virgins). |

People have only died in Mexico where, no offence, the health system sucks also the major cause was pneumonia, not the actual flu itself. |

At first I was scared, until I talked to the state health department, and They put up this nice bubble around our house. Then I knew we would be OK. Nothing to worry about. We do need something to take the population down though. Maybe a disease that targets only stupid people. Hmmmm |

yo peeps. Take it from a nurse. Drink your fluids, get your rest and exercise, and WASH YOUR HANDS. Now quit worrying like little nancy boys. Let's get for real. OH and she's right. there's not a lot you can do once the flu breaks. FLUIDS ARE IMPORTANT AT THAT POINT. If you are sick just chill, go to your doc, drink some water, sports drinks, even pedialite.... |

First, you don't get it from eating pork. Second, the news is making this out to be worse then it is. Look at any news story about this and they keep saying "may" and "could". The news stations don't make money if people don't watch and no one is going to tune in every night to hear that everything is fine. They're saying sevral hundred in new york MAY be sick. These sevral hundred aren't even going to be tested for it because they aren't that sick even.
And finaly, it's a flu. Medications like antibiotics will not work. Wash your hands, wipe down your work station with cleaner and stay away from people that look like they are ill.
People in Mexico are sick and dying, pray for them. People in the usa are not getting as sick.
Take it from someone that had a sickness that kills 95% of the people that get it, panic doesn't help anyone. (The flu in 1912 was bad because the bodies were left to rot in the street. Mass graves were not covered well. A Few inche |

Im from Mexico, and the reason why the flu is so bad in here is not because we dont have enough medicine (we do have enough medicine), its actually because people only go to the doctor when they are really really sick, and its too late to really do something. We have the (horrible) custom of self medicating, we feel a little pain and we take an aspirinm we have a flu we take whatever antiobiotics we think might help. So its only when people realize that they are not getting better that they go to the hospital to seek medical attention. It sucks but thats how it is. |

The reason why it's so bad in Mexico is lack of humanitarian aid (or at least I think). They don't have the money for Tamiflu. Though I think there was a confirmed death in the US (a high schooler). So we're not perfectly immune to it even with Tamiflu.God it reminds me of when I went to highschool during SARS. I just got out of Hong Kong three years ago, now this?? |

uhm mexico doesnt have the...how do i say it... amount of medicine we have here. we have lots of doctors...lots of medicine. LOTS of vaccines. mexico doesnt... people are poor, why do you think there are illegals in the U.S.??? |
