Thursday, April 30, 2009 7:59:45 AM How the hell can you feel good about beating a dude without limbs? That would just be a miserable fight. You don't want to throw the bout and you don't want to beat the guy...ugh.. |

Wednesday, April 29, 2009 3:29:05 PM That's more like a beatdown than a fight. I don't think biting is allowed. |

Wednesday, April 29, 2009 4:14:57 AM I read "amputee" as mean missing maybe an arm or a leg, Not all 4 limbs. How was this fighting ?I'm all for disabled people having equal rights, But this isn't the way to that goal. At least not until the Japanese make some better replacement robotic limbs. |

Wednesday, April 29, 2009 12:03:03 AM That can not be all that healthy for your bones to be constantly hitting the ground like that, I am sure that there would eventually be some damage. |

Wednesday, April 29, 2009 12:02:07 AM I've seen an MMA fighter with his leg amputated below the knee fight. It was here in Michigan last year. Fought while wearing a soft plastic prothesis, but he was still wobbled on it. Trained to become a MMA fighter, went to Iraq, lost his leg, came back to try MMA again. And yes, he won. No a soul sitting in that arena I tell ya. |

Tuesday, April 28, 2009 11:58:53 PM fighting involves punching and kicking... how is this fighting? He would be way more interesting if he had some breakdancing skills instead. I used to play baseball with a boy who was paralyzed from the waist down and he was awesome. This has got to be embarrassing to the handicap community. |

Tuesday, April 28, 2009 11:32:42 PM I'm all for people with disabilities being treated equally but this is disgusting. I don't care how strong or fit this man is he can't compete with a man that actually has joints. I want to see proof of him winning in a wrestling match. Just because someone has a disability doesn't mean they aren't a person but it CAN mean they aren't equal in some ways. It's sad but it's true. The man has no elbows or legs. He can't lock you up and pin you. That's just wrestling. In MMA he's already down on the mat and if you aren't taking it easy on him you can simply pound away at him. Whoever let him in the ring in the first place should be beat. |

Tuesday, April 28, 2009 8:34:42 PM I feel bad for the guy in the red shorts. There's no way for this to work out well for him. |

Tuesday, April 28, 2009 7:47:15 PM You can tell the other guy was holding back. I also don't see how this is helping disabled people... |

Tuesday, April 28, 2009 6:26:58 PM I understand this guy competing in wrestling or even bjj, but when it comes to a sport when standing up is HALF the game, whats the point? If he can't kick or punch, he really has no reason to fight in a sport where its something you need to know. |

Tuesday, April 28, 2009 3:36:30 PM I use a wheelchair. I have spina bifida. Now that I've established cred, I have 2 things to say: 1. If your only attack is a head-butt to the knee, MMA is not for you. 2. If anybody actually had the guts/was enough of a moron to hit me right in the face, I'd be down in half a second. I bet same with him. |

Tuesday, April 28, 2009 2:27:06 PM How are you supposed to fight something that just kind of glides across the ground like that??? I dont think he was taking it light, its just going to be a completely different fighting style when they are so low to the ground. |
