Saturday, May 09, 2009 5:50:14 PM Apparently they don't even need to tell you that they're searching your stuff. My backpack and everything that I had in my locker got searched while I was in class earlier this year. They didn't bother to put anything back either. Aparently my locker partner got into trouble with some drugs, and that means I've got drugs too... |

Tuesday, April 28, 2009 2:53:19 AM wtf, thats fked up. No staff member should be able to touch a student even if the student agrees. Maybe if there's a fight tho. |

Monday, April 27, 2009 10:35:51 PM this both pisses me off and at the same time, doesnt really surprise me. I had a teacher tell everyone my freshman year (like 5 years ago?) that schools DONT have to call your parents for things anymore. he said it in all seriousness, and when he made that perfectly clear, all us kids got really pissed and hes like "...go look it up. the schools dont have to call your parents before we search your backpacks or anything..." aparently, he was right? =/ but seriously! kids! *DEMAND* TO TALK TO YOUR PARENTS BEFORE CONSENTING TO THEYRE CRAP. seriously. just cause your at school doesnt mean much of anything in a situation like that! >.< just dont act like a little prick in the process of it. O.o |

Monday, April 27, 2009 7:12:59 PM i dont think schools should be allowed to search for over the counter pain drugs. and the zero tolerance policy should be smashed to peices, its disgusting and a disgrace to a country where justice should be respected. |

Monday, April 27, 2009 1:44:20 PM That is true about the fact that if she was attractive it wouldn't have happened, and if it did to an attractive person the law would have done something. (I can say this, as I am very not-pretty:P)But, Uh no, If it was me I would have laughed and told them that I want my mother, father, uncles, the police and lawyer called right then, And if I was the parent..Yeah, hell would have broken loose, That is horrible, poor kid. |

Monday, April 27, 2009 8:05:47 AM Parental consent isn't need to conduct a search on a minor, those Miranda rights apply to adults, but nothing says a kid has to be mirandized... A strip search is going way too far, and anyone who is stupid enough to authorize such a search without the express written consent of the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, is asking to be civilly sued over the issue. |

Monday, April 27, 2009 6:06:04 AM If a school feels the need so desperately to conduct a strip search they should have to call the police and have the child taken into police custody. They traumatized this poor girl over freaking ibuprofen. I used to bring a little tin to school with tylenol and tums with me to school when I was a kid because I didn't see the point of having to go to the nurse over an upset stomach or a headache. There is absolutely no way I'd ever have agreed to a strip search at school. I wouldd have sat there telling them they could get my mother, the police, and a lawyer first. |

Sunday, April 26, 2009 10:56:55 PM Look at this old skank and tell me she isn't a lesbian pedophile.
All I know is that if I'd done that, they'd put me UNDER the damned jail. |

Sunday, April 26, 2009 8:29:45 PM Kinda sucks for her, but I'm sure this isn't the whole story. People don't just strip search kids because some other kid said she had some non-prescription pills. |

Sunday, April 26, 2009 7:04:08 PM This would NEVER happen in Australia. Kids at my school got caught smoking weed on the grounds and they still didn't get expelled |

Sunday, April 26, 2009 6:50:02 PM If that was me, and they told me they were going to strip search me over IBUPROFEN, I'd give them all the finger and walk out.Jesus, I carried around bottles of Tylenol with me all through junior high and high school and nobody cared. Everybody else did too. What exactly is the problem? Lunatics. |

Sunday, April 26, 2009 6:43:19 PM That's freaking retarded. Kids lose pretty much all of their rights when they walk onto school property (as many before me have said), but this is a question of human dignity. |
