Thursday, May 28, 2009 4:44:14 PM It's Jamie being Jamie. If you've watched Mythbusters enough, you'll know hes pretty much a perfectionist.....This is rather funny I found this cause I'll be watching said show in 15 minutes. ^_^ |

Monday, May 04, 2009 1:30:50 PM Clearly not a douchebag. If you are employed to do something, even if you personally think its stupid, you still have to do it.I love Jamie. Screw any detractors. |

Monday, April 27, 2009 6:10:27 PM Yup, the job was done properly. Some items were double. If that's a capital crime, you're not anal, you're a douchebag.

Sunday, April 26, 2009 7:24:48 AM First: What the boss says goes. If you are not conformist enough to except that, find new employment.Second: So he is a little bit anal about his work stations? So what? Many people have one little tid bits like that that they expect. Third: DO YOUR FREAKING JOB CORRECTLY. Fourth: Tacos. Fifth: When I have an idea or a job I need done emidiately, I don't want to dig to find something. (like that sharpie) I get pissy. Geting pissy is not fun for anyone. Must be the same for him. Douchbeag? Nope. Anal? Totally. Wrong? Nope. |

Saturday, April 25, 2009 1:42:02 PM I want to defend him, I really do, because I think he's a cool guy in general. However, about cleaning and having everything in its place, he is super-anal about everything, and it annoys his coworkers to no end....I am a MythBusters freak for knowing that. |

Saturday, April 25, 2009 12:40:18 PM If it's the guy's one and only job, or at least the primary part of his job, then it's his job. Why can't he do it?

Saturday, April 25, 2009 12:35:51 PM I would say that Jamie is not a douche. He simply wants a simple task done correctly. Each and every one of you who said he is a douche let me ask you this. If you went to a restaurant ordered your food and it was served to you all on one plate with all the food mixed together just thrown nonchalantly on the plate would you complain. I will bet you would even though it was all there. I used to work at a GasAmerica and if I were to stock the soft drink cooler by just putting all the drinks in random spots I would have been fired. It would all be there but not in the correct place. Its really not a big deal it is not life or death but I would have still been fired. People need to just learn to do their jobs right. |

Saturday, April 25, 2009 12:05:44 PM i've never liked that munch and his creepy moustache. if those things being just right are so important to him, he should do it himself. then again, the last time i had to reach around a pen to grab a pencil i almost died. O_o |

Saturday, April 25, 2009 11:44:20 AM Jamie is right, the guy should be able to follow simple orders. However, why the hell was this filmed? this is a matter between them not the rest of the world. |

Saturday, April 25, 2009 8:39:59 AM I really don't think this is douchey. If those stations are supposed to be stocked, they should be - correctly. When you're working on projects like those of Mythbusters, you really want everything to be readily at hand. It's a safety issue, for one. |

Saturday, April 25, 2009 5:36:25 AM You do NOT besmirch the name of Jamie Hyneman! I will not stand for it!Something tells me this was meant to be funny...he is ridiculously serious and deadpan all the time. He's probably poking fun at his own anal retentiveness. I'm sure all his coworkers do. |

Saturday, April 25, 2009 4:27:51 AM Jaime is making a rather simple point. There are things here that are not supposed to be here. Plain and simple. I actually do recall being in elementary school being taught that you keep the specific things you need where they need to go. Jaime isn't a douchebag. I think the more important thing to look at is that where did the extra supplies come from? Another workstation. So there may very well be missing supplies somewhere else. Now that doesn't seem like much, but when you are a trying to keep costs down on a show...you don't want "wasted 25 minutes to find an item" which most likely happens. I can't see this as douchebaggery...more a simple way of presenting an issue...for whatever reason it may be...I kinda find it odd that it was recorded though.. |

Saturday, April 25, 2009 4:07:31 AM "As I understand it, Jamie is the producer of the show, which means it's probably costing him $1000+ an hour out of his pocket to pay for cameras, lights, sound, and crew. Whenever he goes to grab a Sharpie, and it's not where it's supposed to be, the wasted time probably costs him at least $100. I think I'd be a little pissy about that myself -- especially if it happened several times a day."Your argument makes absolutely no sense... Why on earth would he make the show out of his own pocket? Discovery Channel pays for everything and he does what they tell him to do. He gets paid a large amount of money I am sure, but I am fairly sure he isn't the one buying all the stuff they break on the show, otherwise, he would be a complete idiot, as this video has proven. |

Saturday, April 25, 2009 1:21:25 AM Alright alright alright. Listen. Scientists and anybody working in the field of science are going to be douches. They have to be. All through school they get poo for any tiny little thing not being exactly as it should be by the book. When they get out in to the real world, it's the same stuff. One little thing off and months worth of work is scrapped just like that. So this sort of behavior is essentially a side effect of the "survival" skills needed to work in the high-maintenance world of science. |

Saturday, April 25, 2009 1:13:40 AM "What is he complaining about?"Nothing, really. He in fact says "this one isn't so bad." He's not bitching over the particular station, just using it as an example. An unfortunately poor one, because it was mostly just a bit overstocked and cluttered (which, yes, is a problem), not understocked. |

I think I'd be a little pissy about that myself -- especially if it happened several times a day. He ought to have his own stations stocked the way he wants, and let everybody else have their own stations. Anyone who touches one of his stations is fired immediately -- no exceptions. Problem solved. |
