Sunday, April 19, 2009 11:23:39 AM When I was called in for an interview for verizon the first thing that they asked me was what i knew about cell phones. I had no idea how to answer the question. The only answer i that i though of was "cell phones are the best form of communication." What the interviewer meant was if i knew anything about the company, which i didn't. So yes knowing about the company your applying for is most important and also asking questions shows interest. For those who have not had an interview its not all that bad. |

Sunday, April 19, 2009 7:57:43 AM All employers will Google you and look for you on Facebook/Myspace etc. If you don't think they will, be prepared to not get the job. |

Sunday, April 19, 2009 7:28:30 AM If someone whipped out a picture of me on facebook in a job interview I would just tell them that what I do in my personal life is purely my business and should have no effect on my job. Also, I would tell them it was creepy and weird that they looked me up in the first place and I don't want to work there anyway. My profile is private though, like a normal person. |

Saturday, April 18, 2009 11:02:45 PM "you took office chairs. . .?"-"yeah" that was priceless. I can only think of how that conversation must go with anyone you meet along the way. It's about as awkward as the time I was carrying a 10 foot piece of pvc pipe with my my friends across campus at 3 in the morning and ran into a police officer. . . |

Saturday, April 18, 2009 9:46:08 PM Yeah in the second video I think I see a picture of a couch on the laptop... with some people on it. Probably drunk, or naked, or both. |

Saturday, April 18, 2009 7:47:15 PM Be Honest, Should be number 1.Trying to rehearse or script an interview will make you fail. Good interviewers know how to throw 'curve ball' questions at you and know when your trying to stick to a script. |

Saturday, April 18, 2009 2:58:12 PM ITs funny how many times people screw up and dont even realize it. And Wagonlover--- alot of companies and schools will search people online- even a basic google search before selecting a candidate. If you put it on the internet for PUBLIC view, you are showcasing what you do... if youre not proud of it, dont post it. |
