Friday, April 10, 2009 5:13:14 AM Oh and I am sure they did not infect the monkeys with the Herpes. It actually runs rampid in the jungle where the monkeys are from.

Friday, April 10, 2009 3:31:56 AM This is a link explaining why they are testing monkeys. I think I would rather see a monkey tested than a human for this one. But if your that concerned about the monkeys maybe you should volunteer for this research, I'm sure they will give you a proper burial. http://www.monkeymaddness.com/articles/v... |

Friday, April 10, 2009 2:38:35 AM This makes me pretty mad. They retreat when approached eh? I wonder why. I would sure as hell run away if I saw the bastards coming for me to try and give me AIDS or whatever. |

Thursday, April 09, 2009 9:35:11 PM I actually go to school fairly close to this place. Thus, I'm somewhat less than delighted by the inevitable plague of STD ridden monkeys within spitting distance. |

Thursday, April 09, 2009 9:01:34 PM 28 days later, America has a herpes epidemic on its hands (even if the movie took place in the UK...). |

Thursday, April 09, 2009 7:59:44 PM wow this post really hits close to home...i happen to be a researcher (why do you think i'm on iab all the time, hehe)...but seriously, the herpes virus is very close anatomically to the aids virus and this is why primates are used in testing...ie, aids and herpes don't infect other animals they way they infect hominids like people or primates...its true, monkeys do not exhibit the same symptoms as humans upon infection, HOWEVER, they can easily infect a human by scratching and biting...the worst part is that these primates DO NOT like humans at all...and for very good reason (i don't think i need to explain why)...anyway, they are EXTREMELY violent when any human even goes near their cage...we usually have to sedate them first using a tranquilizer before we can even get near them...i'm sure these monkeys that escaped want to get as far away from any human as possible...but, then again, therein lies the danger... |

Thursday, April 09, 2009 7:37:43 PM some primates carry these illness's naturally. i coud be wrong but i dont think things like herpes hurts primates like it does us. tho it prolly should. OH wat if the monkeys in 28 days later actually has syphilis! swiss cheese brain could account for the "rage" never saw the movie just a random idea. |
