All I put was "Could this end up being a ..." etc. But: You'll notice the tagline IAB write mentions both amazing graphics AND game play. So they aren't trying to claim pure graphics makes a game. I agree though that graphics aren't everything. Iron Man looked pretty. It sucked. Controls means so much. |

Actually, I'm a recovering SEGA fanboy, thank you very much. I just tired to list off a few high quality games with poor visuals that most would know about, except for Yar's Revenge, but that game is just pure awesome. Fine, how about Road Rash 3, Mortal Kombat (Blood Mode/Genesis and Master System), NBA Jam, Zombies Ate My Neighbors (SNES and Genesis), Chip's Challenge (PC), Adventure, Berzerk, Frogger, MS PacMan, and Space Invaders (2600), Zaxxon 3D (Master System)? |

Graphics, except in severe cases, aren't what make video games worthwhile. To imply that because it has good graphics, it will be a good game is ridiculous.
A case in point is Sonic Unleashed, which is stunningly beautiful, but gameplay is atrocious. Not all movie based games are bad, including Goldeneye, the Thing, and many of the Star Wars games (but certainly not all) Lastly, there are games that are good despite their graphics, such as Castlevania (NES), Yar's Revenge (2600), Shinobi(NES/Master System), Goldeneye (N64), Doom (All), PunchOut (Most Nintendo Consoles), etc. |

I wonder if those guys realise they just telling us what a common slasher action game looks like. Look at the Prince of Percia and Devil May Cry series, it's all the same. I don't mean that they are crap, I mean that this game isn't going to be a great hit or something like GTA, GoW or whatever. Oh, and by the way at least "Riddick: Escape from the Butcher Bay" was a movie game that did not suck. I really need to get a life, right? |

Looks awesome, and really looking forward to get by grubby hands on this, but yeah, I'm still keeping a skeptical outlook on it 'being a movie video game that doesn't suck'. BTW I find it ridiculous how he needs to avoid damage (bullets, heli fan blades) when he's already shown that he can live through de-molecularization from Phoenix. Just take the blow, man! |
