Seems utterly useless to me.
Bsically you have an itch, you scratch it, it stops itching. Move along, nothing to see here.

ya that sound about right, same with pain.. you just overwrite it with more pain, it has obvious restrictions tho

Makes sense, a nerve healing would not send a message if interupted by larger stimuli, thus the scratch.

i totally support a cure for the itchy. a year or two ago, i got really bad sunburn (like slept in the sun for a few hours) then a day or three after that, i experienced the hell of whats known as "sunburn itch" its where your nerve endings go fu--ing crazy and your sunburn itches. so your itching non-stop, and your itching sunburned skin. it was easily worse than anything else i have experienced. went to the hospital, and the nurses just gave me some kind of steroid, and a shot to put me to sleep for 8 hours or so, i was so busy satisfying my hellish itch that i didnt even notice the shots in the butt. i woke up in 4 hours, still itchy. finally i asked google wtf i should do. and it instructed me to take a bath loaded with baking soda, so i did and either that helped, or the symptom had exhausted itself. so if they can cure the itchy, FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought most itches were created due to dead skin? Of course there are other causes too....like reading this article! So itchy!

c'mon that was weak.. you mean to tell me they needed a neuroscientist to confirm that scratching relieves an itch? and scratching doesn't feel good if you're not itchy?
