Monday, April 06, 2009 11:58:26 AM >"Also, if you think about it, the fear of nuclear annihalation is the only thing keeping countries from completely obliterating each other with less destructive weapons."That strategy worked for civilized nations, but how do you deal with a fanatical, superstitious madman who has no fear of death? Ahmadinajad dreams of martyrdom, and he has said he wants to bring about the end of days. A total nuclear holocaust would fit his warped vision precisely, and if NoKo can sell him the technology to bring that about, it just saves him the time it would take to develop it himself. |

Monday, April 06, 2009 12:35:41 AM North Korea is as close to Hell on earth as there will ever be. There are concentration camps where people are tortured on a daily basis. This is a long video but it is worth watching if you don't know. Someone needs to take Kim Jong-Il out now. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ms4NIB6xr... |

Sunday, April 05, 2009 8:52:41 PM Even if North Korea does launch it at somebody, the rest of the entire world will rally together and ensure that only ash is left of the country. Honestly, I don't think one missle launch from a country that everyone hates will have other countries launching nukes at countries that aren't North Korea. |

Sunday, April 05, 2009 4:47:43 PM North Korea has backed itself into a corner. Bankrupt and irrelelvent, the only way they can stay on the world stage is to play brinkmanship. A slippery slope; one day they will puxh too hard, and the consequences will be dire for the world. Kim: There's the dictator that we SHOULD have gone after, not Saddam, who was threatening no one. |

That still leaves a pretty big probability of nuclear war though, there's lots of crazy people that could get access to those... "Don't bet they won't. There's always one crazy out there power hungry enough to try anything |

Sunday, April 05, 2009 4:40:13 PM "If we Americans are so F'in badass, why are we worried about a 3rd world (2nd maybe? I dunno) country? Oh yeah! That's right! Because we lose wars against country's that don't have airforces or navies, let alone missiles!" How do you fight urban warfare with jets and ships? Everyone is hiding in a million diff buildings with snipers, rocket launchers and road side bombs. It's really hard to fight, especially when it's not our homeland and they are hidden behind innocent people. How do you think we won the American Revolutionary war, it was on our own turf and we ambushed troops from the woods and towns. |

Sunday, April 05, 2009 1:31:21 PM Just read on CNN that North Korea claimed their "satellite" launch was a success and they have it orbiting.U.S. and other agencies countered that the missile was tracked and failed over the Pacific ocean along with its payload. Doesn't take a lot to guess which one is lying. Great shooting there Kim! If I lived in the middle of the Pacific I would be terrified of North Korea... |

Sunday, April 05, 2009 11:28:27 AM I don't understand why people/media are getting so wound up about this! Its blown out of proportion! The DPRK is the biggest (i think) missile proliferator in the world (its how it makes its money) so its hardly a surprise that it is developing its weapons. To me, the biggest problem arising from this is that it is going to make the DPRK an even greater proliferator - Because we, in the West, have a lot more to worry about closer to home than the DPRK! Its rockets are also pretty crude anyway tbh! The Taepodong-2 would be able to strike U.S territory (like Alaska) but wouldn't be able to carry nuclear warheads because it is just not efficent enough for that. So claims of that nature are pretty premature. And on the regional threat note, they could already deal with their regional neighbours with their Shorter range missiles, so this hasn't really increased the threat towards the region. Just the Perception of that threat. I spoke too much, and nobody will read that anyway! |

They simply are weapons >you can not use..ever! Very true. And that is why I wonder why the UN or summat haven't simply gotten some nanny-figure to tell everyone to just let it go. Deassemble them all. Carefully. |

Sunday, April 05, 2009 7:30:49 AM >>of America. Just 1 or 2 well aimed nukes and America could be reduced to a 2nd or 3rd world county. Take into account the Iranian goverments fundamentalist stance on pretty much everything that dosnt fall into their world view and its a really scarey thought! |

Sunday, April 05, 2009 7:29:18 AM I don't get it, why are rich western countries aloud nukes and no one else is? ----------------------------------------------------Western countries developed those technologies during and after WW2. Then the cold war came and the west and east ammased massive stock piles! Well..read this.. Nuclear Armed States However.. there is now the Non-proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) treaty stopping the spred of nuclear weapons and stopping nations developing nuclear weapons who don't allready have them. NPT details. To sum it up, if EVERYONE had nuclear weapons, someone would use them! Consider Iran for example..do you think they should have nuclear weapons! Remember this is a nation that has open hatred |

Sunday, April 05, 2009 6:52:14 AM I don't get it, why are rich western countries aloud nukes and no one else is? Don't get me wrong I don't support Kim Jong-Li or his rigime, I just don't like rich countries telling poor countries how to do things. Change needs to come from within, from the people. Not because the west says so. |

Sunday, April 05, 2009 6:31:36 AM Sorry Boredx12 but you simply can not just "fire off" nuclear weapons to get rid of them! If America "was" to launch all (and I do mean all) of its nuclear weapons at anyone ever we'd all end up dead from the fall out anyway! They simply are weapons you can not use..ever! Anyway..reguarding North Korea..yes action should be taken.Kim Jong-iL and his generals are the problem rather than the North Korean people who are pretty much crushed under his regiem! |
