My boyfriend and I first saw this with the other trailers when we were watching Coraline. Can't tell you how much we spazzed out.

Kids will like it. It will do ok and be out on DVD 6 months after it's released.

Would be better if they made the film using real-life footage (kind of like they did with Transformers). I'm not a fan of the all-animation movies :( which sucks because I was looking forward to the Astro Boy movie...

"Go Go Go Astroboy!!!! What can I do, to be like you, and to be a real Astroboy!!" Song stuck in my head from the late 50's, early 60's - 40 friggin years of that song is Enough! I say, Enough!

It could be good or bad like any other film, people.

Get over it.

I've never seen the old series or whatever. Needless to say, I'm excited.

I thought that Astroboy/Tetsuwan Atomu was only in Japan! I have never seen astroboy in denmark... didn't know that it was international now! btw, will there be a japanese version of the movie?

"yay, i wonder if the creepy "building a robot to replace my dead son" bit will stay intact

and then the "oh wait your not my son your a creepy robot who i made to look and act exactly like him so F*CK of and join the circus you metal git" part"

I'm sure the 'charging the little robot boy up by rubbing his metal ass nipples' won't make it to the final cut.

I'm not making this sh*t up.

... Astro Boy has always seemed like a precursor to Megaman, in my opinion anyway...

an i the only one who misses cinema from the mid 80s till early 2000? where movies had at least SOME thought put into them and especially in the mid 90s where everything was deep and dark. and you couldnt tell the ending for every movie by the time it started >.<!

I'd say that Hollywood has ruined it, but no-one's actually SEEN the film yet so I can't judge.

That said Hollywood has ruined a number of Japanese franchises (Godzilla, Street Fighter, Dragonball Z...)
