Saturday, March 28, 2009 8:25:45 PM Why can't we be frieeends? Why can't we be frieeends? ...Seriously. My fiancee is Muslim and I'm Christian, we never held any arguments at all about our beliefs. We respect each other, and we love each other. I never understand how the peace can be broken, can't we just respect everyone around us and accept each other for what we are? Ah I didn't even bother watching the video, I get upset when people bash other religions like that. And everyone who's stereotyping Christians and Muslims, you need to cut it out. -.- Ya'll are trolls. |

Saturday, March 28, 2009 12:09:55 PM Incidentally, you should check out a blog by zafirgirl. I found it the other day. It's about how ridiculous the beliefs of Islam are. I'm sure you'd like it. She goes through the Quran and comments on it. |

Saturday, March 28, 2009 12:09:37 PM "Awwww, did the wittle awlmighty get his feelings hurt by people wepresenting his beliefs and making them sound siwwy? Awww."See, this is why religious people get bad press - because you act like a dick during these discussions, when you're representing the religious. Anyway no, Crakr's assuming that atheism = big bang didn't hurt my feelings. My feelings don't get hurt when people are wrong about stuff. Instead, I pointed out to him that atheism has nothing to do with the big bang. And I never said that the thing Crakr was responding to was correct (although from what I remember from all those years being raised Catholic, the actual meat of it is pretty close). I was merely responding to Crakr's confusion over what atheists think.

Saturday, March 28, 2009 2:34:16 AM Epic troll is epic. You can tell he's faking, he used the banana in another video, and ridiculously unbalances the 'arguments'. |

Friday, March 27, 2009 11:52:28 PM Wait.... I DO recognise that Bean me. It's pretty much everyone everywhere on debate forums but you've applied it to Christians to make a point. The same could be applied instantly to many of the atheists arguing here, except it's atheist superiority they're convinced of, their apologetics, their refusal to see things from a religious perspective, etc. It could also be applied to you Bean. Will you ever apply it to yourself? Of course not. You're utterly devoid of introspection. |

Friday, March 27, 2009 11:38:29 PM Oooh, I love this. A good old religious debate. *Ahem* Christians are idiots. "A self-professed Christian, or one who defends Christians or Christianity from criticism, whose Internet presence (as part of a discussion forum, website author, etc.) manifests in at least one (but usually more) of the following ways:1)ignorance of fundamental scientific concepts 2)inability to form and/or comprehend logically valid arguments 3)inability to understand the importance of logically valid arguments in general 4) quoting the Bible for the purpose of proving something to an audience that clearly does not consider it authoritative 5) an unconquerable sense of Christian superiority 6) mindlessly parroting the worst and most widely used Christian apologists' arguments 7)inability or stubborn unwillingness to see things from the perspective of a non-Christian." Does this sound familiar? Every Christian posting here is an e-Christian. |

Friday, March 27, 2009 10:20:47 PM Overmann: 1) "There are still more questions". Doesn't work. there are always more questions. Stating, "you're not finished yet" can be applied just as easily to any worldview. 2) "It's a non answer". Again, I'm tired of you only applying your arguments when it suits you. If anything, Atheism is more of a non-answer than any particular theistic belief as it answers nothing. 3) You ignored the only real important part of my post. The multiverse theory is almost exclusively there because (a) Scientists felt it was necessary for a non-God answer (b) Scientists enjoy Sci-Fi. In the quest to explain the universe, we now have an infinite number of them to explain. God has never been that complex. Minor detail: The Razor isn't a principle, so much as a catchphrase. "Many cooks spoil the broth" is just as valid. Occam's Razor is popular because it allows an "easy out" for debate. No more. |

Friday, March 27, 2009 9:09:23 PM If this is meant to be funny and ironic (which I think it is because of the whole "If my god is real do nothing at all" thing) then this has got to be one of the funniest things I've ever watched! but if this guy is for real, then holy crap does he need to take his head out of his ass and look around at the world. |

Friday, March 27, 2009 7:40:54 PM ...WTF If a god does exist who's to say which religion is right. Also America has lots of problems so is he saying he wants all countries to be christian and have their type of problems. I believe god was introduced so that people could give what happens a meaning. Lastly he's retarded for doing that "if god is real do nothing at all" thing. |

Friday, March 27, 2009 6:32:32 PM "The universe. God did it. I win. The problem is, you get to choose when to apply Occam's Razor."Correction: you get to choose what you wish to call Occam's Razor, but that doesn't mean you are applying it correctly. Saying 'God did it' isn't a simple answer - it's a non-answer. You still have all of your work ahead of you, i.e. explaining how God was able to accomplish that and the many other feats attributed to Him. And if you persist in the similar vein and say simply that God is God and can do anything, those wiser than you will rightly brand you a fool with no argument and move on. Stating that there is no God is simpler than attempting to explain behavior\consequences\events that happen on Earth by attributing them to the will of a deity. If a god is good, why do good people die in hurricanes? Any deity's existence raises more questions than it answers, and so Occam's Razor applies correctly. |
