No my father was one of the people that helped them by giving them a fair chance to be in the olympics. Most handicapped people do not meet the requirments to be in the olympics. But they can't help that. So this way they CAN be in the olympics. And you spell it's spelt bastard. If you're going to insult me lionhart2, then at least learn to spell. |

Obama immediately called up the President of the Special Olympics after his remark to profusely apologize as he realized people can't take a joke. He was indeed forgiven and the apology was accepted. |

Obama did not "diss" handicap people. My father helped to create the special olympics in the 70s. After Obama's comment (which actually stated that some day Obama might become good enough to play against people in the special olympics) 8 million people viewed the special olympics website. That's 8 million more people who now know what the special oplympics really is. And ontop of that tomorrow (3/21) is National Down Syndrome Day. What Obama truly did was a good thing. Saying that he "dissed" handicapped people is an insult, to Obama and to handicapped people. It's very imature when people take offense to things that should never have been deemed offensive in the first place. |

He's good at bowling. Alright, he may even go pro.But what does this have to do with his disabilities? From what I gathered, he can't read and he's slow. How does this impair his bowling? If he was blind, or missing a limb I'd be impressed. |
