Friday, March 20, 2009 2:43:36 PM Actually, the "100% Beef" patties refers to the company name that supplies the beef, "100% Beef". So in reality, they could be puttin any crap in the patties and they would still always be called 100% Beef.just another way McDs messes us over every time. |

Friday, March 20, 2009 12:13:13 PM "Notice he says "100% beef patties". Not hamburger, not ground beef. 100% beef. This means any part of the cow, including organs. Usually just the heart and liver, since the lungs aren't legal in the US, and the others aren't "meaty" enough. Check in your local grocer's frozen foods section. You'll generally find "100% beef" patties in there, usually 1-2 dollars per pound cheaper than hamburger or ground beef patties. And they do taste like McDonald's patties. Texture's about right too. But I don't recommend buying them. Unless you're really hurting for cash and need meat on the cheap." A well written but unfortunately entirely incorrect post. The whole 100% beef meaning any part of a cow thing crops up all the time. Beef is NOT any part of a cow - here's one of many explanations of of how beef is defined: http://www.snopes.com/horrors/food/cowey... |

Friday, March 20, 2009 1:54:50 AM And as to those wondering why they "can't" film in certain areas - I've worked in a food production plant making frozen pizzas. Some of the machinery is proprietary, and not covered by any patents. Because if it got patented, it'd get copied and used by competitors. Same reason Coke/Pepsi don't patent their recipes. They sanitize the whole thing between shifts, and the USDA makes sure everything is clean to their specifications. And I guarantee it's about as warm in there as your refrigerator. Possibly as warm as 45-50 degrees F. The metal detectors are there because sometimes parts can fall off a machine and make it into the product. the pizzas I helped make actually went through three. Once before going into the freezer, once after getting wrapped in plastic, and once after it got packed in the cardboard case. Metal shavings in your food is bad for business. |

Thursday, March 19, 2009 11:51:54 PM Yeah, sadly I work at McDonald's too. I'm pretty sure I've already killed more people (through high blood pressure) than Hitler. Oh yeah, that manager saying that the customer gets the best... Do I really need to say how full of poo he is? |

Thursday, March 19, 2009 4:24:22 PM "I'll take a double cheeseburger over a t-bone steak any day, as I hate the taste of the meat for a t-bone, despite it being many people's favor" Yeah, some people prefer roosterroach patties. To each his own.

Thursday, March 19, 2009 2:05:07 PM This is a "newsmercial". It's a "story", in this case, given out by McDonalds that shows how their patties are made. I'm sure there were other similair "newsmercials" in other markets about the same time as well. All the reporters do is add a little bit of their own video at the beginning and the end of the piece.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zQ48ZetYK... |

Thursday, March 19, 2009 1:14:08 PM PPPRULE is a paranoid spaz.I think its great what they've got going here. As the reporter said, it helps the farmers and such. ... but I prefer the taste of my own burgers, not ones that have been cooked, frozen and then cooked again. |

Thursday, March 19, 2009 1:11:16 PM You know it amazing that the company has not had some huge recall on their food like some other large chains. |

Isn't there a guy who began something of a celebrity because he eats a bigmac three times a day? he still is very skinny man. |
