Wednesday, March 18, 2009 4:15:13 PM aww poo i used those constantly.. there were games (doors) like legend of the red dragon and barren realms elite!! LORD was kinda like WOW in text format. fun as hell. if you had a 14.4 you were fast. if you had a 28.8 you were flying. and you'd get massive long distance phone bills if you didn't go to a local bbs. I don't think any dial ups exist anymore. but theres plenty of telenet (or telnet?) ones that look and act just like the ones from the days of yore.. find one off google n copy it to your address bar. |

Monday, March 16, 2009 9:43:24 PM To think they had such noble intentions, who at that time could have foreseen the intercrapz being used for petty arguments and dick jokes? |

Monday, March 16, 2009 11:32:24 AM OMG, I used to use 518 BBS!! Let's see there was one called the phone booth, and another called animal house. I remember dialing directly into each site and running up a killer phone bill for local long distance!! My dad was going to kill me! Comparing then and now is like comparing apples & Oranges. If the net stayed at BBS level, hardly anybody would be interested at all |

Monday, March 16, 2009 9:28:05 AM Ahh the old BBS. The art of the flame war is always much more interesting when there is actually a chance of meeting your foe face to face. |
