Wednesday, March 25, 2009 12:44:21 AM mildly challenging at times, but the fact that you always regenerate makes up for it. |

Monday, March 16, 2009 4:57:54 PM This is derived from the Greek myth of Orpheus and his love, Eurydice. Eurydice gets bitten by a serpent/badger/typewriter, then dies. Orpheus plays songs so sad that they make the gods and nymphs weep. He goes into the Underworld, convinces Hades and his bride Persephone to let him take her back. They allow this on the condition that he must never look back. Guess what? He does. The end. |

Friday, March 13, 2009 9:56:17 PM I watched some old (Arabic?) movie about something EXACTLY like this.A man is a brilliant (flute?) player and finds a woman of his dreams. He loses his girlfriend's soul(I forgot how) to Satan and tries to gain it back. Satan says you may gain her soul back only if, while venturing back to earth, do not look back or her soul will be Satan's again. Close to the end I remember him looking back and her soul was stolen back. My memory is VERY vague but I hope this clears up a bit. |

Monday, March 09, 2009 12:05:13 AM Played this game a few days ago.nobody404: When I was on Kong, there was a comment on this game that said in the myth that Hades told him she would be set loose after they had both made it out of the cave. But when they got to the end, Orpheus took his first step outside, then turned back to her, while she was still technically inside the cave. So she vanished. I dno, I've heard a few versions of it.. My opinion of the end: When you get back to the grave, you see yourself and vanish, and your wife vanishes as well. Then the greiving man becomes you at the start of the game. Gives a kind of endless feel to it. |

Sunday, March 08, 2009 10:13:04 PM Awesome game. One of the most interesting things about it is, notice all of the discussion of the plot and storyline in the comments (here and on kong). Notice there was absolutely NO dialogue, and the graphics were minimalist at best. Just goes to show you what really makes a game great. |

Sunday, March 08, 2009 9:23:17 PM Well some stories say that he is fantasizing but that just depends on what you read. Some say that he looked back and killed himself or he just sat next to a nymph and became a tree or something like that.

Sunday, March 08, 2009 7:24:44 PM For all the people that don't understand, this is based on the story of Orpheus and Eurydice. Orpheus goes into the underworld to get his wife from Hades; Hades says he can have her, her soul will follow him back, as long as he doesn't look behind him to make sure she's still there. Orpheus gets to the exit, but he can't stand the thought of leaving her. He looks behind him, and Euridice is forever lost to Hades. In the end, you find out that he's simply fantasizing about how he wishes it could be. |
