The stars are right under your picture, and show how many comments you've made. Currently you reach 4 stars at about 70 comments. I'm suggesting to Fancy that it becomes (1) New (2) 100 (3) 250 (4) 500, and that only 4-starrers be allowed to post links or pictures in the forums. Anyone would still be able to submit. |

steve, it was basically a guy getting his face smashed in by a hammer or something as heavy, and i didnt watch the rest, humanity at its worst, unbelievable. Hope the guys were caught, castrated and had the same done to them. |

Devi, as far as I can tell, I was the first mod to see it and it was up for about 60 minutes, I think that's pretty good response time for a link that appeared to be innocent (and I don't think the poster meant it as a spam-shocker, I think it was genuinely 'oh no I've seen much worse, here's an example...') People often put related links in posts, it appeared to be related so it got by.
Once I clicked on it, I didn't even watch it - I saw the description on the site and that was enough for me to remove it.I didn't ban the user, I just deleted the link, because frankly, I hit Delete so fast once I read the description that I didn't even see the user's name, but if you can remember who the poster was, and feel sufficiently strong about it, I WILL ban them. Up to you, let me know how offended you were. |

Links in posts has been a hot topic on the Mod Blog lately; in fact Fancy had a developer meeting early this week where it was #1 on the list. We are planning to implement a policy where:1. Anyone with a 4-star rating can post pics and links
2. Anyone who hasn't one, can't This will stop a lot of creating an account just to post porn or advertising, or income-per-referral. Posting of links and pics will be an 'earned' privilege that you get once you have been part of our community long enough to have 4 stars (roughly 70 posts). This gives people the time to learn what is, and is not, acceptable on the site, and makes it better for us all. |
