Thursday, April 16, 2009 6:43:26 PM thats a bit of an exageration. Lids/cups/ect are all recycled materials at most places, annd theyre made in bulk. im sure that a sleeve of cups, a sleeve of lids, etc all is 200 liters... but really, theres so many other things we should worry about other then breaking down that--- how about people DRIVING 1 block to pick up a newspaper instead of walking, people littering, people w/o solar panels... etc etc |

Tuesday, March 03, 2009 2:47:39 PM thats misleading. You can't say its takes 200 litres of water to make a latte. OH BY THE WAY we're including making the container and feeding the fcuking cow. Arseholes. |

Tuesday, March 03, 2009 12:41:15 PM "but... if we snack on people, that's less lattes, and less lattes mean more water.... You're definately onto something..."I like the way you think. This vid leaves me skeptical. For some reason, I can't shake the feeling that they used numbers of the amount of water used for a whole coffee plant, a whole stack of cups and lids, the water that's already in the milk. Hardly breaks down to 200 liters for ONE cup of coffee in my head. Good point though - we definitely are wasteful, but this video seems somewhat over the top. *stretches comfortably* I'm counting the years until we finally eradicate ourselves off this planet. |

Monday, March 02, 2009 5:00:08 PM Exactly Zombiemike, people here can't see past the obvious. It costs money and fuel to produce sanitised water. If this video has done nothing else, it has shown the general ignorance of most people here. THIS VIDEO IS NOT SUGGESTING WATER DISAPPEARS! IT IS POINTING OUT HOW MUCH CLEAN WATER IS WASTED! Jesus, it really winds me up when people think they are above something because they don't understand it. |

Monday, March 02, 2009 4:01:30 PM "people who try to save water is the dumbest waste of time ever. Hello, the earth WILL NEVER RUN OUT OF WATER until our sun goes supernova in 5 million years. but go ahead and think you're 'saving the earth' in the most stupid way possible"sure there's a metric sh*t ton of water on the planet, but how much of it is drinkable without purification or sanitization? Not to mention getting it to certain places, plumbing and irrigation takes alot of time, money, and workers, and that's what people are trying to preserve. |

Monday, March 02, 2009 3:30:14 PM It's not like we will ever run out of water. And I think that "milk" took half the estimated amount. Does that mean that drinking milk is bad now? LOL Besides, how are you going to save on milk? Cover up grass so that cows can't eat it? Ridiculous. Sensationalist crap |

Monday, March 02, 2009 11:26:45 AM I think this movie makes its point. It is not about water, but it is saying change the way we do things, work effective. And yes actually water used per 1 latte state may be true, but in fact those amounts are used in other lattes too. E.g. plastic cup does use water in the process of making, even if it is not used directly, it is used to cool machinery, though most water is reusable there. |

Monday, March 02, 2009 11:23:04 AM technically the amount of water on earth now will stay the same, because nothing can be created or destroyed, i learned that in 8th grade science yay me |

Monday, March 02, 2009 10:22:42 AM I really don't believe it's that big of a deal. Okay if you trace it all back a year, it might of taken 50 gallons of water, but I mean really? It doesn't add up. And of course it's not just throwing away 50 gallons of water, it all goes around. |

Monday, March 02, 2009 9:46:17 AM A Latte is Milk and Espresso (concentrated shots of coffee). It doesn't use ANY water outright. 98% of all statistics are entirely made up. |

Monday, March 02, 2009 6:51:46 AM The bigger question is "So what?".Do they think that the water just magically "dissapears" after use? Or is that just what they want US to think? I wonder if they think that the water used in ANY process somehow vanishes into outer-space or something. What a bunch of BullSchmidt. |

Monday, March 02, 2009 6:32:38 AM Right, and how much water does your average forest consume? Are we supposed to be afraid that we are going to run out of water? Idiots. |

Monday, March 02, 2009 6:10:48 AM If you include all the water that the cow ever drank, then maybe it would be as much as they are saying, but you can only do that if the cow produced no more milk in its life than just enough for one latte |

Monday, March 02, 2009 6:02:21 AM So even if a cow drinks 100 gallons of water every day, it will produce enough milk to make more than one latte. It may take hundreds of gallons of water to make one latte, but it probably takes close to the exact same amount of water to make hundreds of lattes. |
