"Radical racist"? Seriously? The only racists here are the people searching this guy's house over a sign. First of all, the sign is about abortion, and doesn't have anything to do with race. Second, if the president was white and the guy with the sign was black, do you think the police would make a big deal out of it? No. I knew when we got a black president, all he would ever do was whine about racism. |

The Partial-Birth Abortion Bill?
Wasn't that a bill that banned such abortions by Bush around 2002 or so?And although Obama is apparently pro-choice, I thought it was all rumour that any abortion laws have been passed yet...? I could be totally wrong though. |

This guy's kidding himself if he thinks people believe his "terminate or end" reasoning. If he's pro-life, he (regardless of what anyone else thinks) sees abortion as murder. Therefore, he, with that sign, advocates the assassination of the president.That said, and while I disagree with his belief that Obama should be "aborted", I support his right to free speech and think he should be able to put whatever sign he wants on his truck. I don't support limitations on free speech in any way. You absolutely do have the right to yell fire in a crowded theater, if that so pleases you. |

And, like it or not, even the merest hint of assassination of the president is enough to get the FBI knocking at your door. I'm for free speech, but there are limits when it can constitute a threat. |

carolinads,i realize that. thats why i said he sounds luberal, and put the parenthesies(sp)im pretty liberal but i think killing little unborn babies is wrong. but i found a loophole with God. the church says that once your born you have orginal sin. well these babies are killed and not born! so they automatically go to heaven!...unless theres limbo. and im cristian, throwing it out there |

And Airsofter it most definately is a touchy subject. Keep your views to yourself, because it's not going to change anything over an IAM column. Perhaps you might be a little more open minded if you had a vagina. Rape victim gets pregnant? 12 year old molested by pervert father, pregnant? This is a situation that people will argue over forever. There are numerous sides to the arguement over something so complicated. |

Ok, honestly, that's just baloney. I don't agree with what he wrote on the sign, but it's his opinion, and the cop shouldn't have taken the random piece of paper away from him. You see people with anti-bush signs all the time... It's freedom of speech.
and habbazoot - just because people call themselves liberals, doesn't mean they all have the same opinion. But I question the cop's judgement just the same. |

Wow, people calling this guy ignorant is unbelievable. It just goes to show how hypocritical some people are. People gave President Bush all kind of hell, and you would never hear most liberals say "he's still my president so I support him."This guy simply disagrees with Obama's stance on abortion, makes a statement about it, still says he supports Obama, and HE'S the ignorant one? drating hypocrisy. |

It doesn't matter what the guy had in mind for the sign, it is what the public thinks about when they read the sign.Before I even heard his argument about the sign, my first impulse was that "Abort Obama" meant to eliminate him as in DEATH. Free speech, yeah, it is. But, I cannot have my freedom of speech if I walk around yelling "Kill Obama." If he wants to make a statement, do it in better taste and DON'T imply the death of our leader. |

why was he arrested? i thought it would be something like "GET THAT N*GGA OUT AND LYNCHED"this guy actually seems like a descent(i didnt spell that right, did i) guy. he was right. abort means remove, not kill
besides, the cops sounded pretty liberal (from arresting him). that (usually) means their pro choice, which (usually) means they dont think abortion is murder. then how do they make that argument?
and i didnt read the comments (wont read all of them) but i bet theirs the douchbags who are saying "THERE WAS ANTI BUSH SIGNS AND NO ONE GOT ARRESTED!!!!!!!!!!"

What an iggnorant human being. Of course you are going to get poo for that sign since the age old argument is that to a lot of people "abort" means to end a life or kill. Obviously this fella is pro-life that is why he is saying "don't abort babies" so he see's abortion as ending a life. there for he is saying the same about the president he is even contradicting his own rediculous sign , what a fool .... |
