yeah its only 25 years total... not per death, like someone said before there were heaps of fires.... His charge was "arson causing death" not murder... I didnt watch the video so what it said might be different but thats what was on the news over here. He had to be transported to a high security place coz so many people wanna kill him. Also there was a pic of him on the news like myspace style, so creepy. |

But when this guy gets released, he will still in Australia... So I guess like a lot of Americans, it is in fact a life sentence.

damn, I'm by no means passing judgment but I thought Nicole Kidman and...that singer guy she's married to, were gonna bring out the big bucks $500,000...that's all. Isn't the state of Victoria like the size of 3 Texas'. Just saying, if I was a huge movie star from Aus. I'd at least give a mill. But then again, I'm a poor college student so I'll shut my mouth. |

It's not that the law is going easy on people, it's that they don't have the death sentence. Same for Canada. 25 years is supposed to be life, and usually works out to that when you combine all the charges. |
