eh. ill blame the security gaurds for beating him when he was down. after they tackled him, i saw no reason for the beatin to continue.but you couldnt see what was going on in that circle, so maybe it was justified |

i can settle the discussion, for i am truly a portuguese with portuguese accent and a benfica supporter.-this happens in portugal.
-it's a benfica league game.
-benfica is in the guiness book of records for being the football club with more supporters.
-everyone loves benfica.. mostly mustachioed drunkards...

they don't speak spanish in portugal. portuguese is its own language.But, do they not also speak Portuguese in Brazil, but with a Brazilian accent? Then there would be a "Brazil Portuguese accent" as opposed to a "Portugal Portuguese accent." Anyway, whoever wrote the caption that said "Mexico" you are truly ignorant. It is very clear that these are not professional teams in Mexico because Mexican soccer is on TV all the time here in the United States and even if you can't recognize the jersey, you should be able to tell by the uniform sponsors that this is in Europe. That, and the announcers clearly say "Benfica" even though I don't know any Portuguese, I know that is a team in Portugal. |

I Second that Gurn, I was so relieved when the players and the crowd got involved, but so disappointed when I saw the security guard laying on the ground, don't repay evil for evil. The guy got away, I think that was enough.

HornyPanda - The punishment should fit the "crime". What exactly is the crime here? Adding a brief moment of comic relief to the insufferable boredom of a soccer game?
Excessive use of force is also not, um... allowed.

makes you wonder how many other security guards do stuff like this without getting caught on camera.
And the fact they will knowingly abuse people on camera makes it even worse, because they think its acceptable. |

So no one gets the fact that running onto the soccer field isn't umm .. allowed? Best way to avoid police/guard brutality in soccer? Don't break the stupid rules! I say guards shoot any person who comes onto the field who's not supposed to be there. "What's that? You dropped your quarter onto the pitch and came over to pick it up? .... BANG! BANG!"Done. |
