raikun, chess is good because it teaches you strategy and gets you thinking ahead a few moves of your opponent

@ kittyloaf, CHESS IS LAME. your a super-nerd. I never understood why ppl play such a boring game. I't not like it actually simulates a real battle! lol the only thing that was proboably true in your rant is the USCF, but even that is a load of fagg0try

Nice at first but then, when its obvious your pawn is gonna die, the COMPUTER HAS TO RUB IT IN by drawing that particular line 1000 times> >:0

I hate playing chess on line, at yahoo, it's nothing but a bunch of sore losers whom when losing click off the game. There is a lot of hatin' at the Hamster Pit.

Oh Kittyloaf, I thought it was playing the Roschentoff Brinkmeisser defence with a Brodovsky gambit in the second irkleglep, it played Qm8 to Kx9 because the counter to Roschentoff's is to implement a Kipsky Povocmic subset defence in a counter-iterative attack phase. Oh whoops, I'm talking crap, I don't know a thing about chess except how to play it, and anything above that makes you sound like a nerdish geek.

I like all the colors, neat. The more dense/heavy the coloring is, the more the computer likes that move. Neato.
He played the scandanavian defense, but instead of Qa5 or Nf6 after exd5, it played Qd4? Just letting me get free tempos all over the place. It allowed me to sacrifice on f7 and get a winning position early.

Its probably rated around 1300/1400 USCF

I barely managed a win. Interesting concept, but all the pieces are hard to see.
