Tuesday, February 24, 2009 7:30:44 PM Well... England was the major world power until a couple decades ago, and that kinda died... So who says it won't happen to the US? |

Saturday, February 07, 2009 12:30:17 PM 1. We are not collapsing. What is going on now is a natural part of a capitalist economy.2. If we were to fall the rest of the world is going with us, why do you think the whole world is in recession at the same time. |

Thursday, February 05, 2009 10:11:49 PM i think its fair to say that if america collapsed, then much of the world would collapse as well, or run rampant |

Thursday, February 05, 2009 10:00:56 PM This is just dumb the US was only created a little over 200 years ago. How does a society collapse that fast? And for those of you saying that, "Ohhh China will pass us up." take into account that China's government is way more F'd up than ours their economy is only booming because of the lack of control the government has put on the environmental standers. Also take into account that eventually China, like the US, will eventually have to come to terms with its pollution thus causing their production to decrease dramatically. |

Thursday, February 05, 2009 9:44:10 AM @Capncaveman. It depends who invades who. i will grant you that it is impossible for australia to invade the US at this point in time, but it would be eqaully as hard for the US to invade Australia. several reasons out basic troops are trained better then evern your marines, logistically trying to invade a country as arid, hilly, cold, hot and humid as Aus is almost impossible, not to mention if you succeded who would feed the world, as we supply the majority of raw materials, wool, and large amounts of fresh food and meat to the world. added to the fact that as we are part of the commonwealth, Britain and her domains are forced under law to help us. That is ofcourse unless we get banished or become a republic ourselves. and before you start to flame me for dissin' america and its troops, may i point out that we hold two very impressive records in war. 1st, the battle of besheba. we are the only people to have successfully capture the holy land. 2nd long tan. 100 men DEFEATED 3000. |

Thursday, February 05, 2009 6:35:42 AM who really knows?? yes, unchecked history tends to repeat itself, but that is why we rely on historians to identify trends, and a solid government to successfully implement measures to maintain order and prosperity. hopefully the economy starts to turn around fast!! i wonder what the true value of the dollar is, never mind the posted exchange rates... |

Thursday, February 05, 2009 5:27:06 AM The Roman Empire was MAHOOSIVE and spanned continents, let alone countries! Of course it was going to become unmanageable! We've lasted alot longer than America, so you have a few more centuries left at least |

Wednesday, February 04, 2009 11:57:09 PM Well before you go dissing the Aussies, know this. In every major American conflict, the Aussies are the only ones who have backed the US up every single time. |

Wednesday, February 04, 2009 11:50:14 PM The only thing remotely close is the money losing value. And even so, it's not that dramatic.Back in 2000, a 20 ounce soda cost about $1.10. Now it's about $1.39. Inflation's going to happen, that's what happens in strong economies. Now I'm not saying that the US will never collapse, but I am saying that it won't anytime in the near future. |

Wednesday, February 04, 2009 11:46:25 PM its pretty foolish to deny the cycle that is the rise and fall of civilization. america has some pretty obvious signs of a civilization in decline. but i agree with sewermonkey that its going to get a lot worse before america actually collapses. and anyone who doesn't realize that if america collapses it is going to bring down a majority of the civilized world with it then they are completely oblivious. |

Wednesday, February 04, 2009 11:39:15 PM I was going to say that the video is a real stretch based on the beginning. But the end points were closer to Par and Bob had his stuff fairly straight.Anyone who thinks the 'founding fathers' and their system would stop something like this is sorely mistaking and a tad naive. That does NOT mean i think it 'will' happen. I just mean to say that all that is arguing is that "People won't break the rule" No rule is greater then the rest of the rules, people tend to break them. |

Wednesday, February 04, 2009 10:18:59 PM Einstein, please learn how to spell or stay offline. You're representing the U.S. very poorly and it's embarrassing. bobdavenport... question: U.S. vs. Australia in a war 1 on 1. Who wins? That's right, Ausies go belly up like Steve Irwin in a kiddie pool filled with stingrays! The USA will never die, just turn tan and multiply because we're the melting pot, baby! P.S. R.I.P. Crocodile Molester... R. I. P. we miss you, man. |

Wednesday, February 04, 2009 9:41:49 PM The U.S. will not fall. We will change. Probably not for the better. The only thing that will remain the same is the name. Live in fear and obey the government. They are here to help you. They know whats best for you. They really care about you. That is as long as you work half your life away to support them and kiss their ass. end rant |
