Good grief, do you people realize these are tools used for Demolition work, not offensive or defensive weapons? The only way you would see this used in an actual firefight, no pun intended. Would be if some combat engineers doing demo or clearing work got attacked without warning. Then yes it would make a devastating though dangerous to the user close range weapon. No it wouldn't be efficient and some could consider it a warcrime but when in self defense certain things go out the window. Kind of like using a grenade launcer at point blank range, its only something you would do in a completely FUBAR situation. |

ok so you have a flame thrower, and the enemy has guns. you have very short range and 20kg of napalm on your back. the enemy puts one bullet in your novelty backpack and you go up like a protesting monk. |

Gluggar: they are legal only because there has been no death related (civilians wise) though it is severely limited in some states.it isnt hard to make one...just take one supersoaker...
besides, have you seen the latest weapon by the military? the bombs?, the nukes we have? A flamethrower is inhumane, don't get me wrong, but considering the rest of arsenal at out disposal, this is just child's play.
We have, and always continue to develop "better" killing weapons for the next war. just saying =P |

Yes, bad way to go..But can save lives. They used them in WW2 to take out enemy bunkers. You spray the bunker and the guys inside either immolate, or suffocate (since the flame thrower burns up all the oxygen). |
