Friday, February 13, 2009 8:38:41 PM PETA is a dangerous organization that should be disbanded by the government immediately. Not only do I disagree with their policies 100% (animals = tasty) their Holocaust = animal cruelty is disgusting. As a WWII historian and researcher I am appalled at this nonsense and will probably go out and buy hundreds of pounds of animals for eating as a result. Thanks PETA and F*** you. |

Sunday, February 08, 2009 1:11:25 AM How bout Peta actually raise money for shelters so we don't have to put them down? and how bout Peta actually take in animals of their own to have as pets? and how bout talking to the general public about animal cruelty... Oh wait that's the RSPCA/SPCA... maybe peta should just shut up. |

Sunday, February 08, 2009 1:06:32 AM The number one thing I hate about Peta is that they're all animals should be free not "pets" Well Peta I can tell you my "pets" are happy living with me. Yes I eat meat and if I could I would go back to the way indians lived working with animals and eating them as well just giving thanks to their "spirits" and using every part of them. |

Monday, February 02, 2009 7:47:13 PM I've been a vegetarian for seven years but I hate PETA. They're way too aggressive and offensive to be the mainstream face of vegetarianism/veganism. |

Friday, January 30, 2009 11:23:07 AM I'm against PETA but I don't understand how many of you think that one animal is different from another? Printer Jam, you're an idiot if you think animals don't have the capacity to have the same feelings as you, or do you think evolution left them without the capacity to feel? (or maybe god gave them no soul?) What is your reasoning behind animals don't feel? They do, the problem is they are also delicious! So accept that we are cruel and enjoy your cheeseburger. I do. |

Thursday, January 29, 2009 10:43:19 PM This is messed...and man, that ingrid lady seems more like a complete scam artist than a promoter of rights. I think why people support PETA is because they are aware that rights need to be defended, but they aren't brave enough to stand up for actual people so they do it for animals. And screw people over in the process. |

Thursday, January 29, 2009 9:13:08 PM i hate peta with a passion. the comparison between the atrocities and heinous acts of the Holocaust and drating chickens are not even the slightest bit in relation. if i ever come across one of these dickstains advocating for their drating animal rights bullpoo, i will beat the poo out of them. and slaughter six cows, too. |

Thursday, January 29, 2009 8:11:39 PM As much as I like to eat meat, I have to point out to the no meat = starve argument doesn't make sense. Citing China having problems really doesn't work since most Chinese don't usually eat meat. Animals do take a lot more resources per calorie to raise than plants. The reason we don't give up meat isn't to keep food availability up, but to keep profits up since there is obviously plenty of demand for meat. The people who would be fed by only growing crops for humans wouldn't be able to pay for the food, so even if governments banned the sale of meat, starvation wouldn't be solved. That said, PETA only seems slightly less scary than Scientolgy- but that might only be because I know a little more about PETA. |

Thursday, January 29, 2009 7:11:37 PM I doubt either will read this but Loxen, that's due to careless owners. it shouldn't happen, and the careless owners should be punished severely, but when properly contained it poses no threat to anyone.. Its the same as anything that's dangerous. That's like a rodeo bulls. those things are deadly but they are usually properly contained so its very safe. That's like saying cars should be illegal because many people die every day from them.. well with your logic maybe they should.Ipirate, no there isnt.. the end result is the same. the animals dead and you enjoyed it. Just in a different way. People eat meat because it tastes damn good. Sure there's plenty of nutrients in meat but they can be obtained through other means, that don't taste as good. You aren't a disparate Native American Praising the buffalo for its gift of meat. You could just as easily get a soy burger. |

Thursday, January 29, 2009 2:31:58 PM I had to comment on this as i have seem some people just being ridiculous on this. Boadicea or whatever your name is can you honestly imagine if everyone gave up eating meat, i think somehow the chinese etc may have a few troubles feeding all those people.... To the person saying an animal has free will you don't understand what it is if you think so. Free will is the ability to make choices without anything external taking over, the dog only knows consequence from what it is taught either by it's pack leader or the human that has replaced that role. No animal feels love or compassion it's animal instinct that makes it look after it's young. There is nothing wrong with eating meat just as there is nothing wrong with not but your choice is your own. The life of these animals is rough no doubt about it but if you didn't realise that then you are ignorant of fact! Every part of these animals are used and not for waste. |

Thursday, January 29, 2009 11:07:58 AM if you want to join a good organization, join the ASPCA. they are more about helping dogs and cats that are being abused by owners more than anything else (ie: a starving dog in a sunny backyard with no water). they don't deal with that KFC nonsense |

Thursday, January 29, 2009 9:57:54 AM 1. I H8 PETA 2. PETA is right. 3. It doesn't matter. We subscribe to a hierachy. Me & Family > Friends > Community > Nation > Race > Species > Insects > Plants > Bacteria (some rearrangement implied for some). Plus my dog is both family and species so it goes up a few spaces. Animals are animals, we all feel pain and misery and joy (possibly to varying degrees) from dogs to rats to snakes. Penning up chickens is the same to the chickens as penning up people is to us, because we are people (check the needs). From the chickens point of view how could we take its life so the fat kid can have a snack!? Its life is important to it, a snack is trivial. However, we need food and like all other carniverous animals, we eat other animals to get it. We do it cruely and efficiently and it is necessary. However, we should admit openly that we are cruel and that it is a form of evil and that whenever possible, we should strive to consider them as living cr |

Thursday, January 29, 2009 3:40:00 AM @ Davek1013 Beyond ethics, people are against dog fighting due to its potential to make a nice/friendly dog dangerous and unpredictable. A fighting dog can get mean fast, and even its handler may face a moment where the animal turns on them. You don't hear about people being savagely mauled by chickens but it happens with dogs. Especially ones bred to defend property and/or to fight. |
