The coach was fired because it's a Christian high school, and in the eyes of administrators he did not act appropriately as a Christian in having his girls play Full Court Press the entire time. The basketball team at the small school who lost only has a handful of girls. Winning 100-0 was completely unnecessary and only served to boost the ego of the coach and make his team look better, but it blew up in his face. |

For what? Doing what he was supposed to?
I don't understand how it's unsportsmanlike to do well.
And the learning disability point is moot, that could mean something along the lines of dyscalculia or dyslexia; it doesn't necessarily effect motor skills necessary for basketball. |

A learning disability shouldn't mess with their physical skills. They don't have down syndrome. They just can't spell. So what the hell does that have to do with them being able to play? Also, firing the coach of the winning team? If I recall, they forfeited because they felt bad. I mean, wtf? If your team is so hopeless, why let them play? I mean, why not an exhibition game, then? I blame the losing team, not the winning. The winning played the game to the best of their abilities, and got punished for it. Glad I'm not good at sports. I might get fired. |
