"Just to be unneccesarily pedantic, the legal age in UK is 18"since when? did i miss something. i thought it was legal for a person to smoke at 14 but couldn't legally buy them till they were 16 here in the UK. actually now you mention it i do remember something, did they put the legal buying age for cigarettes up to 18? what can i say, i dont watch much news |

i would have given her kids to a foster family and given her the opportunity to earn them back. i dont think they should just be whisked away and she should never have the opportunity to have custody again, but the woman obviously does need help before she is able to care for children. |

tbh Im not surprised... I mean the amount of kids that get drunk when theyve been left alone near alcohol is shocking, and ciggaretes arent so much harder to use.

I love the way the subtitle of the artcile seems to assume that in the UK we find giving cigarettes to toddlers ok. And to be honest, I am pretty damn surprised she got to keep the kid. Damn well shouldn't be able to. |
