So sad. But Im really encouraged so see the support the mother is getting from (some of) her family and the government, and that she herself is strong. There are so many disabled abandoned children in Zambia and its a relief to see the love and compassion the baby receives from some, i can only imagine how many other children wouldnt get the love they deserved in her situation. |

Why is it when things like that happen its normally happening in poor countries. I didnt read the article, and im not saying the baby is from another country, but i am just saying that stuff like that happens to poor families that live in poor countries. |

I noticed that those of you here who do find this to be funny are mostly teens, so your immaturity and inability to empathise is somewhat exusable, but you're probably the same kids who make fun of the special needs students at your very own school. You should feel ashamed for thinking this is funny and your jokes alone should be enough to embarress you, they are not even witty. Just dumb! Oh, and be careful not to get knocked up...you just might find yourselves and your baby in an even "funnier" situation. |

The moms friends laughed at her baby? That is just so rotten. I wonder if in that part of the world they believe in Karma? That woman at least has the support of her family. Her baby is beautful regardless, you can tell by the picture she has a very warm and sweet personality. It must be heartbreaking enough to expect twins and find that one is actually dead and unformed causing the living child to be handicapped. What kind of IDIOTS laugh at that? They should be supporting her at her time of need and uncertainty, hoping this baby pulls through and recovers. I would like to personally slap some sense into those cold hearted a-holes who find this amusing and I'm not even a violent person. As a mother myself, my heart goes out to her and I don't even know her. |

I also fail to understand where her friends found humor. I mean, I don't feel particularly sympathetic due to just a general difficulty caring about people so far outside of my world, but there's also nothing funny about it. It's an unfortunate defect that seems to be completely fixable. Ha. Ha ha. =/? |
