Friday, April 10, 2009 6:05:45 PM simple gear system. Assuming no slipping the big wheel will rotate (large distance on ruler)and the small wheel will also rotate at the same rev/sec (low distance on the ground since the spool has a smaller circumference than the big wheel)No tricks. |

Tuesday, January 27, 2009 1:33:38 PM Kretain, look carefully: the ruler really does move to the right when he says it does. If you don't believe me, follow the ruler on screen with your finger. While the ruler moves to the right relative to the ground, it moves to the left relative to the cart. |

Sunday, January 25, 2009 2:33:56 PM The funny thing is tho, he moves the ruler towards the left when he said right and vice versa. So, in the words of the intarweb pr0, put food on your family and think twice |

Sunday, January 25, 2009 1:36:08 PM @ habbazootClockwise is the way the hands on a clock go. Anti-clockwise is opposite, meaning the hands go up left to right |

Saturday, January 24, 2009 4:31:24 PM "People have known about gears for many centuries... This is not physics"Neither is gravity, which we've known about for many, many years. Spaztodynamics, however, is physics because no one knows about it. |

Thursday, January 22, 2009 1:29:15 AM Because the little wheels are easier to turn than the big one, the ruler just pushes the entire car thing to the right and the small wheels turn. The big one turning the wrong way is just a side effect of that. |
