Monday, January 12, 2009 3:57:39 AM "lol at the swastika in the video neo rubik cubes are goign to attack us"Neo-Rubik cubes? You mean Neo-Nazi cubes? Because the prefix neo doesn't have anything to do with Nazis... It means new. I'm not sure if that's what you meant, but I just wanted to clarify. |

Monday, January 12, 2009 12:46:55 AM On a completely different note (though, by all means, it SHOULDN'T be), that's one hell of a production. I'm impressed, especially by how each side filled up in a unique manner. And changing the cube into those designs musta been hell, taking it all of then putting it back together in specific patterns. |

Sunday, January 11, 2009 10:41:41 PM agree with Req.It is originally a buddist and hindu symbol that represented life and prosperity. Hitler took it, and turned it in the opposite direction to mean death and despair. |

Sunday, January 11, 2009 10:19:21 PM Ugh, I hate explaining this, and it's been mentioned earlier, but there's nothing offensive about a straight swastika. It's a Hindu and Bhuddist symbol of luck (or peace or some other similar positive subject, I'm not that well-versed in these things). The only reason it's got a bad rep is 'cuz Hitler stole it for his Nazi version, which is always diagonal, so there is a difference.Wiki it if you want. And as previously mentioned, it isn't even a swastika on that cube. It's actually just the creator's initials (bad decision on his end, though). Please try not to be so ignorant, people. |

Sunday, January 11, 2009 9:20:46 PM Thats not funny. "This Video is not available in your country or Domain" ... What the? Im from germany, and just because some guy rubiked a swastika (which i dont mind, its kind of amusing to see it unintenionally on a rubiks cube; like this building on google maps which really looked like one :D ) i am forbidden to view the video... OMG... AH... Just wanted to tell you :_( ... I thought there was something like "There is no censorship" or so ... Does any of you know how to trick Youtube censorship? ^^ |

Sunday, January 11, 2009 8:06:40 PM A swastika?!?!? *My jaw is permanently dropped now...* It's not a swastika! It's the Level 3 of the original Legend of Zelda, the first quest.

Sunday, January 11, 2009 4:37:56 PM It is sort of a remarkable coincidence, 'cause this guy's stylized initials are on a 5x5 grid pattern, just like the Nazi swastika (I Wiki'd it, of course).I do see how it looks like a YH, so I completely accept the guy's contention that he happens to innocently share the symbol with the Nazis. I just wouldn't use it on business cards if I were him. And Unsub, as Sporka kindly explained, it's a 7x7 Rubik's cube, the parts of which are assembeled using stop-motion. I'll add that the author creates a number of shapes and patterns during the sequence on the sides of the cube, and the swastika (which I'm surprised Germany... or any country... could be so on the ball that they prevented this from being shown on the internet there) is only shown for a couple of seconds.
