yes, it is a little poisonous, it does it for quick escape when in danger, and what we see ejected is its "snout"/proboscis (rolled up in the body, usually longer than the body and serves also partly as its guts).And now imagine: a species of this kind with a length of 30 meters. no kidding. seriously. they've found these. (but living in the sea...) |

Wow, thats really cool. It shoots its inside to pull foward its outsides! Also, I could be very wrong, but doesn't its oddly bright, saturated red colour mean it carries a poision of some kind? Similar to the colors on poisonous frogs. |
