Saturday, December 27, 2008 8:44:20 PM That just breaks my heart to see such a sweet face go through so much trouble. It's hard to grow up and even more so for kids woth emotional problems. Whatever protocols that were set were either a. insufficient or b. not followed. Whoever put him in there that way was complacent about the extent of his problems or how far he'll go. Heartbreaking for the parents... I wonder if this will shake anything up |

Monday, December 22, 2008 11:44:05 PM this probably sounds sadistic, but i sort of look forward to society caving in so we can start over and people can stop being so evil. |

Monday, December 22, 2008 9:59:18 PM all of you are jackasses.A) drat usa vs uk thats redundant. same as the gun debate B) Stop only blaming the school, everyones at fault. The parents should have listened to their kid, the school shouldnt have used that kind of punnishment and the kid shouldnt have killed himself. BUT NONE OF THAT MATTERS. a child is dead. its not a time for blame, its time to make sure poo like this doesnt happen again. PERIOD. |

Monday, December 22, 2008 4:55:07 AM from cnn: A few weeks before 13-year-old Jonathan King killed himself, he told his parents that his teachers had put him in "time-out." ... But time-out in the boy's north Georgia special education school was spent in something akin to a prison cell -- a concrete room latched from the outside, its tiny window obscured by a piece of paper. Called a seclusion room, it's where in November 2004, Jonathan hanged himself with a cord a teacher gave him to hold up his pants. |

Monday, December 22, 2008 2:56:32 AM "This happens because the Criminals knew that victims were incapable of defending themselves."I'm sorry but I cannot disagree with this enough. How can you defend yourself with a gun? It just becomes a kill or be killed situation. That's not self defence, that's full blown violence. "If our leaders were to ever to truly fly off the handle the American people are armed and capable of stopping it." Again, this is the same sort of view that I believe makes a mockery of the American nation. Any respectable nation shouldn't be in fear of it's government. And anyway, how will a owning a gun protect the American people from it's government? Sounds to me like it's just the making of some seriously dangerous riots. |

Sunday, December 21, 2008 10:53:33 PM controllable situation. It hurts me to think the child was hurting that much on the inside and the adults didn't care. I love my students as if they were my own and it sickens me to think that, that teacher didn't love theirs the same. |
