That's how I feel, Laura.I don't like sports much. Never really have. Therefore, I do not participate in them. I like doing the things I like to do and do not feel obligated to perform at a higher level in order to prove my worth. TAKE THAT, INSPIRATIONAL SPEAKER MAN! |

Opie... or you could look at it like your disability doesn't make you any different from anyone else and therefore you are not obligated to be superhuman to make up for what other people may or may not see. Though I can certainly understand why you would feel that way. |

I am VERY glad that he is happy, but I always feel like I should be out there conquering my hand and like, doing 5 sports while already halfway through college just because of my disability. |

It's really interesting how the mind works. People complain about a lot of things that cannot compare to what people like him are going through. It is wonderful to know that people with these disabilities are armed with such courage and strength that they are able to live meaningful lives. |
