Wednesday, December 10, 2008 2:29:05 AM Isn't it safe to say the war between Apple and PC is over? It seems to me that less and less people have brand loyalty anymore. I know people that have iPhones and use Vista. Mac users who run Office. It seems to be that you ought to choose the product you think is most viable for your situation without bias towards the company that made it. |

Monday, December 08, 2008 5:10:10 PM As usual, well atleast people are starting to learn. Almost no one in the creative field uses them anymore (im talking high end cg/effects/compositing/rendering, not playing with pshop vector brushes. their hardware is ooold, like 4 years old. the UI is driver lacking. hardware programs are impossible to install [flame for example, aswell as physics hardware for dynamics processing] the networking is 3rd party cheap hardware. O and the RAm is generic. The list can go on forever, its one big scam. |

Monday, December 08, 2008 1:47:56 PM i only have 1 apple product, which is the ipod its not a touch or anything, juust an 80 gig ipod. i need something to hold my music, and the ipod is easy to use, durable, and has lots of memory.but for computers, PC are the way to go. Mac has some advantages(id say about 3), but PC is actually usable. and i dont feel like a douche when using one |

Monday, December 08, 2008 7:46:12 AM I use all platforms and they all have strengths and weakness. As years have progressed they are all becoming the same anyway. Dont be a sheep, branding is brainwashing. Use the tool that best suits your needs at the time. And if you have never used or owned the other computer then your opinions is just flame. |

Monday, December 08, 2008 12:57:40 AM Apple should burn.My university removed all Apples from the campus computer labs because they were having too many problems with them. They replaced them with HP 'donated' models which have worked flawlessly thus far. My office has done the same. We used to have Macs in some of the offices, everyone was given a chance to trade in their office apple for a PC (and all data would be transfered so long as it was compatible) Everyone but three people switched that day. The three people who didn't were on vacation and did so once they returned. I kid you not. Apple sucks. Period, and they should be sued for the ads and fined more for this sort of poo. Jobs thinks he's God. he needs to be brought down to earth and beaten. |

Sunday, December 07, 2008 9:30:28 PM I have a macbook pro. While there are definitely alot of angles to this, i think apple hits a very niche market. My job is music production, and i use it heavily for graphic art. Many programs are more geared towards mac users. Additionally, altough they are expensive, they have a great build quality and a great operating system (i was less than satsfied with vista, and truth be told i liked XP, but not quite as much as mac os). It seems to me if a computer is your lively hood there is no problem spending alot of money on a good quality computer (something that is not restricted to apple, to get a very good PC you have to pay money also, you tend to get what you pay for with computers). I love my macbook pro and will take the pepsi challenge with any PC for what im doing. Wouldn't take it for gaming though. |

Sunday, December 07, 2008 9:12:14 PM Gawsh you people fight alot! I've witnessed so many Apple Vs. Microsoft flame wars... the way i see it, both companies are equally bad.. i feel like, at first they seemed to actually care about what people want and now there just feeding us garbage! It's because people are so divided about what OS they use that they can manipulate us into thinking there next creation is absolutely fantastic. Mac users won't buy a Pc and vice versa! YOUR STUCK PEOPLE! |

Sunday, December 07, 2008 11:25:14 AM Hey I'm using an apple. If you want faster internet by a better uglier computer" Can't remember where that line's from but its so true. Apple products look pretty and have cool little gimmicks but they just plain suck at most practical things |

Sunday, December 07, 2008 10:06:01 AM Is it just me, or do a lot of Apple products seem a bit...pretentious? To quote G.W. Bush: “This is an impressive crowd: the Have's and Have-more's. Some people call you the elites. I call you my base.†|

Sunday, December 07, 2008 9:14:53 AM "keep the customer confused by showing more bars than there is signal"Why the f*ck show any bars at all?!. Not only is the company lying to you, but so is the product. I was looking for positive proof that Apple was worthless, I've found it. |

Sunday, December 07, 2008 6:24:04 AM That's exactly what I wanted to say TalcumX! I can't really believe that there are people who actually think everything looks like it looks in the ads. Even trailers for games can be deceptive. |

Sunday, December 07, 2008 6:19:04 AM Does a normal, reasonable person expect to getthe same burger they saw on the sign? It's just advertizing, your surrounded by it daily and therefore have become numb to it unless someone points it out. Ah, the art of deception, ain't it great! |

Sunday, December 07, 2008 1:35:06 AM I have an 120G ipod, only because it is pretty cool to have a portable hard drive that can store every bit of music I own, 2 movies at a time, several hours of porn , and still be large enough to back up my laptop to, and the only difference from one of those huge portable hard drives is the being able to play music on its own.Other than that, I had a macbook for a while, and I have to say, it had some cool aspects to it, but when it's wifi card broke 2 days after warranty, I took my info off it, and gave it to my 10 year old cousin. |
