It's all part of the conspiracy to make us not fear nature. Zoologists won't tell you, but in fact all moths feed on blood. They fly in at night, and if they can get to your eyelids, hands or others parts of your body where the skin in thin, they'll drink all they can before you notice it. It's not dangerous for humans, only when the moths are swarming, or if they happen to carry e.g. rabies disease. |

and in a couple of year when they will find what genes causes the vampire moth to suck blood they'll try it on themself and then turn into vampires, making them real and totally awesome once again after than twilight killed the fun out of them :P |

Adaptation is an individual response to an environmental factor. Since this is standard in a population of moths, it should be considered evolution. Adaptations are normally the spark of evolutionary change. |
