I saw this last year. I waitress at Pizza Hut, and have never gotten a tip like this. I did get a $100 tip from a four person family tho. |

i was a waiter and a bartender for a while.. in high school and all though college. tips are taxed very heavily. more so than a regular wage- which is why waitstaff prefer cash tips- you dont actually claim what you make. plus it is at that $10k level wich should fall under windfall statutes. she will be taxed. im not saying it is right. im personally looking at paying close to $15k this year on my taxes due to an inheritance. i was just saying how she would lose a lot of that money to things beyond her control. |
