The New World Order is real but not the crazy conspiracy Orwellian order they talk about. It's all Christian imperialism. This kid's a little caught up.

Does everybody agree with me that this kid should be sent to Russia for a month and see how he turns out?

So let me get this straight....this poor small town principal is being called "power hungry" because he censored a shirt with 3 words on it?

Its a public school! Some of your rights are going to be taken away from you! I hate people like this

he's right and his rights are being taken but seriously this issue is not a big deal and he needs to get over it. Whats done is done and there's no point posting a video trying to get attention and pretending like he actually cares about the 911 situation.

Actually, schools pretty much can take away free speech. You can't wear a shirt that has drug paraphernalia or sexual connotations on it, but you sure can anywhere else. School policies or whatever.
That said, I don't know how this shirt was offensive and why he couldn't at least have it on his ordered photos. Those photos are for him and whomever he decides to give them to. Why censor it? Yearbook, maybe, but why the personal ones?

And he says it was not against school rules, so it is questionable.

the fact that this video is made by the kid who got suspended removes a lot of credibility....did he even get suspended? its weird....i was like that...do stupid stuff and then its the schools fault. its 50-50.

I have to agree with him that the school has no real reason to remove it, but they can do it legally, even though it affects his 'free speech'. I don't see how this might distract people or might be offensive to anyway though...

"This kid is brave for standing up for what he believes in against all those authority figures."

He's not some freedom fighter...Jesus. He's an annoying punk kid who probably runs around school acting like that Andrew Meyers guy (you know, Taser Boy), annoying the hell out of everyone and claiming injustices in the smallest of things. There's nothing heroic about it.

If all it takes to be a hero these days is to buy into an ideology that isn't accepted by the mainstream, start cramming that ideology down everyone's throat, then yelling "Totalitarianism," "Police State," and "cover up" whenever people disagree with you...then sign me up. Apparently the standards of being a hero has dropped considerably.

"The term police state describes a state in which the government exercises rigid and repressive controls over the social, economic and political life of the population. A police state typically exhibits elements of totalitarianism and social control, and there is usually little or no distinction between the law and the exercise of political power by the executive.
The inhabitants of a police state experience restrictions on their mobility, and on their freedom to express or communicate political or other views, which are subject to police monitoring or enforcement. Political control may be exerted by means of a secret police force which operates outside the boundaries normally imposed by a constitutional republic."

well dude....were getting there right at this moment our rights are being taken away..and america is heading towards a police state

My history teacher has told us that clothing that makes a political statement is prohibited because it distracts students from learning and is completely unnecessary in a school environment. It's irrelevant, and it has a lot of potential of causing a poostorm, so they decide to simplify things and just ban the statements altogether.

I wonder if it's that policy that the principal had in mind when he ordered the photoshop. I understand what the student is saying, but I don't think he's looking at the issue from the school's standpoint.

Hehe... I love that everyone's argument consists of "I'm right because it's a fact." Well, poo! It's a fact? You win...

*I'm being sarcastic, in case it was not apparent - I'd hate to encourage that kind of sloppy debate. And pretending you won't discuss it because no one will understand it? That's rather tool-ish.*

Yes, 9/11 must have been a conspiracy meant as an excuse to invade Iraq. Why else would the frame the afghan government?

This kid is brave for standing up for what he believes in against all those authority figures. And THEN making a youtube video out of it. I give him props. I hope he gets his message across to them.
But I hated that there was a huge delay at the end.

Yeah I guess that was wrong, but I mean come on, the kid took it a bit too far.
