I knew this would come about. When Hitler was elected he was a beacon of hope for a poor, down-trodden Germany. He did a lot of good things for Germany, too. However, the good he did gets ignored because, lets face it, the man was insane. The horrific things he did to the Jewish people and other non- Aryans far outweighs anything good he did, and actually reversed the good he did. Now, I do see Obama as a beacon of hope; I do not see, however, that he will commit genocide. The comparisons merely lie in the circumstances of election. Of course, Obama is not a former jailbird, like Hilter was. |

It's not about losers and winners trp. The office of the president is not a game.Dude's point was, most black people that voted for Obama voted for him because he is black, and most white people who didn't vote for Obama did it for a reason other than race. They did it because more people than we think believe this gestapo/civilian police thing will come to pass, if congress lets it. |

I agree romboy, just not so much about the hitler part, once similarity doesnt make them the same. But i know exactly what you mean witht the rest of it. I dont care if you want Obama because you have the same views, but dont vote for him because hes black. A girl actually said eww when she saw my McCain sticker when i asked if she was voting for Obama she said yes. she then said "Atleast you people will know im not racist" THAT WAS HER ONLY REASON FOR VOTING! That pissed me off more than anything else in my life...ever. |

Obama is JUST LIKE Hitler. Obama dosen't like nuclear power. Hitler didn't like nuclear power. Therefor they are just like each other.Much like how 95% of black voters voted for Obama. Now I don't doubt that a good portion of them voted for him because of his policies. What concerns me is the other percentage that voted for him because he's black. "Well, he's got the same skin color as me so he must have the same view as me". (See the Howard Stern clip posted on here earlier) In contrast white voters voted 43% Obama and 55% McCain. I know people will argue that there are many white voters who voted for McCain because he's not black. Still, I don't think this outweighs the fact that 95% of blacks voted for Obama. Obama is poised to do some unpopular things with some of his plans. Hundreds of millions of American taxpayer money is going to be fed to the corrupt and inefficient U.N. to help solve world poverty. Before doing this, Obama should pledge to clean up the U.N., but he wouldn't do that, lest he be looked poorly upon from the rest of the world.Also Obama supports judges who legislate from the bench. Those judges are free to make rulings from their feelings, and not strictly from the Constitution. Possibility of liberties being stepped on? I don't know, and I hope not. Obama will not be Hitler. He will not be Stalin, or Mao, of Castro, the structure of the U.S. government will not allow it. But he could become his own entity, able to enact small changes to American government and law that the Constitution, and the will of the people never intended. If this occurs, will people fall to his Cult of Personality and not question him? I hope not. That's as un-American as it gets. |

To a degree, the article is silly, and I'm not sure a Congressman should have been the one to bring it up. But, there are some connections between Obama and some of our world's most famous dictators. Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Castro, they all had/have a Cult of Personality. Many of Obama's propaganda fliers during the election depict the same images these figures had. I've seen independent images online with Obama in Messianic like images. A Cult of Personality is designed to keep your leader in mind constantly. If images of a benevolent leader are forced into people's minds enough, they will begin to regard him as benevolent, even if he begins to make mistakes or transgress on liberties. Don't tell me it cannot happen with Obama, I have history on my side. Now, will this occur? I don't know, time will tell. I'm just worried that if Obama slips up, no one is going to blame him. They'll just say it was still a mistake from the Bush Administration. |

I hate when people say Bush skipped out on his military service.His father, Bush 1, was the leader of the freakin CIA. If W went to war and was captured..they would have obviously tried to get state secrets (that he probably knew, just from talking to his own father.) True, he may have gotten out early, but there was extreme circumstances for him. And calling Obama Hitler..is stupid..hes more like Mao, or Stalin than Hitler. |
