I think some of what Zach says is right about hypocrisy, and as such, logically it doesn't offend me. It's merely his personality that offends me. First, whilst I think marrying a comic book character is pointless, I have no problem with them doing so. Provided somehow they can give consent, which I also think is ridiculous. "Silliness" is not a reason by itself for outlawing something. What negative impact could this guy marrying Minnie Mouse have on society? That's the response to Zach's point. But I doubt that even those nutjobs are trying to marry her. :/ I'm a huge proponent of gay marriage. And there are a few cases of people marrying animals which I can't really find any ethical issues with (being "creepy as hell" is a good reason, but not an ethical one). And I can even see people marrying robots in the future. But we need to draw the line somewhere. If it isn't REAL, you probably shouldn't be marrying it. |

manga and comic books are totally different...and im not even a fan :/i can sooooort of get how he can "fall in love", seeing as the characters are deeper than comic book characters. hes still totally drated up, though. just...no. |
