Sunday, November 09, 2008 6:13:33 AM Actually, human flesh tastes rather similar to pork, only it has the same consistency as beef.I descend from cannibals on my mother's side. |

Sunday, November 09, 2008 5:07:52 AM I'd probably do the same if I was in a similar situation. That or suicide. I don't know which one I'd choose because I hope never to find myself in such a situation. |

Sunday, November 09, 2008 4:12:22 AM You know Moby Dick? That was based on a true story about a whale who sunk a whaling ship and two passengers survied by eating the rest of the people in the life boat. And one of them was my ancestor! |

Sunday, November 09, 2008 2:58:00 AM "this reminds me of the story about the soccer team that crash landed somewhere and had to resort to eating the other dead soccer players to survive...""The movie was called Alive and was a very intense movie. Especially when you know it really happened." Two of the actual survivors in real life were consultants for that movie. BTW I always thought it would special if they showed that movie in flight :)

Sunday, November 09, 2008 2:54:12 AM Xox:That has happened, although usually those people end up dieing and end up getting eaten. There used to be a time when people would pick straws to see who would get murdered so the others would not have to eat an already malnurished body. A great resource for this stuff is: "Desperate Journeys, Abandoned Souls" (True stories of castaways and other survivors) by Edward E. Leslie A hell of a read |

Sunday, November 09, 2008 1:58:39 AM For those who say they would do it to survive what if you were physically not capable? Like your body rejects it by vomiting at the thought of eating human.... that could very well happen... accidently swallowing a fly is enough to make ya chuck. |

Sunday, November 09, 2008 1:26:42 AM This isn't "horrible" at all. If you study the history of castaway's and maroons resorting to eating humans as a means of survival you will find that most people would. This is horrible: Being stranded at sea is one of the worst fates. Instant storms with turbulant seas, raw exposure to the elements, sharks will deifinitely show up regardless, the constant motion will create sores on any parts of your body in constant contact with the craft you are on. Most people become delerious from dehydration... madness can set in being surrounded by so much water but not be able to drink it. Some fools dring sea water and die nasty deaths. I certainly would eat a human to survive. |
