Saturday, November 08, 2008 10:57:17 PM cool... but what's the point? Seems like a waste of technology and money for something totally useless. |

Wednesday, November 05, 2008 8:58:27 PM it won't have to be cleaned, because it's designed to register the location of your hand as it gets CLOSE to the mirror. it's not actually a "touch screen". there are sensors around the edges of it that "see" where your hand is. The image is projected onto the mirror from the back (it's a two-way mirror) and speciall software meshes the projection and your movements. This thing is expensive, but not millions. one news website reports it at a cost of $25,000 US. which is funny, really, because it's basically ALL fairly cheap pre-existing tech (two-way mirror, decent projector, and a computer with a good graphics card) except for the software that they created to combine the tech together. for the moment, the main use of this thing will be in designer clothing stores, or as an advertising gimmick for expensive show-case items (nissan used three of them during a recent car show). This won't be in a bathroom any time soon, because projectors require a certain amoun |

Tuesday, November 04, 2008 5:47:05 PM if you're rich enought to afford something like this, it doesn't need to be useful. it's just cool. |

Monday, November 03, 2008 4:18:50 PM I think I'm gonna go with Slade and videogamer on this one. This is just a bigger version of the LG Shine cell phone. Practicality: next to none. Cost: way more than it's worth. News and weather while you brush your teeth? Walk across the hall and turn on the TV or computer or even put a radio in your bathroom. It's not like you need a mirror to brush. And if you're shaving, you'll be focused on your reflection, not whatever the image is. I'm not saying the technology wouldn't have some conceivable applications, but bathroom mirror just isn't one of them. |

Monday, November 03, 2008 3:32:29 PM Crap. I was hoping for some sort of thing where, you'd stand there, could see yourself and alter your appearance. Haircolor/style, eye width or color. Or atleast, you could change your clothes, as some sort of like, internet fitting room. That'd be sorta badass, neh? |
