I've seen a helicoptor accident, a man's suicide, another man's suicide, a bloke fall off a tight-rope, and someone get stabbed in the face, all cos my brother said "hey this is cool" before each one. You completed the set. XD <Imune to all nastiness now> |

Wednesday, October 15, 2008 5:02:10 PM And here's another one:! ! !NOT FOR THE SQUEAMISH ! ! ! http://www.fugly.com/videos/5568/Base_Ju... I say again, not for the squeamish. Consider this : I watched the BME pain Olympics and laughed, I watched 2G1C and laughed, I watched a few other more disturbing videos than the aforementioned videos (I don't want people to know the weird poo I google)and wasn't bothered by them, trust me, you will feel so bad for this guy. |

Wednesday, October 15, 2008 4:56:42 PM I don't understand base jumping.Sky diving wasn't dangerous enough? What could be more dangerous than jumping from a plane at 10000 ft? I KNOW!!! Jumping from a rocky cliff without having enough time to open a safety chute! Proof : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oHg5SJYRH... |

Wednesday, October 15, 2008 4:17:05 PM Now if we're talking about freefall time, that's different. You'd actually probably find that the BASE jumpers still get more freefall than a basketball player, since the basketball player is only falling for half the jump, and as anyone who knows anything about physics knows, everything falls at the same rate (ignoring air resistance), so the time of freefall is proportional to the distance travelled. Since I doubt any basketball player can jump anywhere near the world record high jump of 2.45 metres, and those guys looked to be falling much further than that before their parachutes deployed, the basketballer could not fall for longer than the BASE jumper. |

Wednesday, October 15, 2008 4:01:20 PM "They get about a half second of air time. A basketball player gets more."Really? I counted around ten seconds for most of them from when they jumped to when they landed. If there's a basketball player who can jump up in the air and stay there for 10 seconds, I'd like to see it. |
