Monday, December 29, 2008 10:20:49 PM I got about 90 of them. I had to memorize all of them last year. Surprisingly most stuck. It also helps to have friends from different cultural heritages. I just couldn't remember any from Africa. Also, I can't spell for the life of me... |

Saturday, October 11, 2008 9:52:29 PM really really poorEven obvious ones like England and Italy are missed off - the quiz author is clearly an idiot. |

Wednesday, October 08, 2008 2:42:10 AM vv Oh hush Giggly. Just because that's the official name of the country, it's quite valid for people to call it just "China". Everyone knows what country we're talking about. We also talk about Libya, not it's official name "Great Socialist People's Libyan Arab Jamahiriya". If we did that each time we named a country we'd be here all day... |

Tuesday, October 07, 2008 11:26:22 PM People's Republic of China. Republic of China. NOT China or Taiwan. -_- Sure the latter is commonly known, but the world needs to know about this. |

Tuesday, October 07, 2008 4:20:55 PM It's mainly border disputes. Some people might consider Tibet its own country, etc. |

Tuesday, October 07, 2008 4:18:35 PM So who says there are 195 countries anyway? According to andys.org.uk there are 245 countries but only 192 UN Member States. worldatlas.com says there are 189 , 191, 192, 193, 194 or 195 independent countries in the world today. wiki.answers.com says 244.Which leads to the obvious question... "HOW THE HELL is it so difficult to count the countries of the world!!??" I mean its not like you can lose a whole country in the back of your sock drawer, or in the washing machine, or put it on the third shelf yesterday but its gone now. Surely people know if they live in a country or not? "What's over that mountain there, Mr Local Man?" "Eeer.... its either a white void or another country, I can't remember which" How many countries in the world? |

Tuesday, October 07, 2008 1:43:57 PM 192 out of 195. (To be fair, I recently had to memorize ALL the countries of the world over six weeks for a sponsored quiz where I had to list all of them in half an hour...I managed it then, but this time I missed Kosovo, the Dominican Republic and Taiwan...and my brother said learning all the world's countries was pointless..!) ;P (I know it is really, but hey, I got cake at the end of the sponsored quiz!) |

Tuesday, October 07, 2008 12:36:29 PM 87, I think that's a pretty good effort. I missed off loads that are so obvious like Greece, Egypt etc. but then I remember like loads of minor ones haha. |
