If you are the victim of this you dont get the laugh because your thinking WTF a harmless bang or a trigger release for some noxious substance like anthrax or ricin? I mean you dont know where the envelope came from really. I'd instantly drop the envelope and back away. If it was in any kind of public place like a school or an office you could wind up with an evacuation and police officers in haz mat suits coming in to remove it. You'd be in a world of poo if you tried this stunt and it 'went south'.
